Wireclub places the highest importance on all of the user's safety and work very hard to ensure that your profiles are secure. Here are a few safety tips that will help to prevent someone from compromising your profile. Please take a moment to review them. Thanks!

Phishing

Phishing is a fake clone site that may appear exactly as wireclub does, however the URL (http://www.wireclub.com/) will not be wireclub's. This scam is a very sophisticated way of stealing your password information. Be sure when you go to a site that you are not redirected to another site, and that it is indeed Wireclub.com.

Passwords

Choosing a strong password is one of the most important things you can do. There are programs that can guess your password if it is an easy one such as "KittyCat" or some other commonly spoken word. Random numbers & letters are the best way to keep your passwords secure.

External Links

Do NOT click links from anyone you don't know. There are viruses you can catch via an "exe" link, or worse. It can also be a redirection site like TinyURL that will lead to these types of viruses. Many can give the person sending it access to your computer. Some can not be removed even if you reinstall windows. The best protection against this is to NOT CLICK LINKS.

Private Messaging

Beware of people that may private message you asking you to click a link, may ask you for money, or try to get your personal information. You have the option to set your private messages to "off" or "friends only", but it is still a good idea to be aware of these types of situations.

If your profile has been compromised or you know of someone who is spreading bad links, soliciting, or sending mass e-mails, please contact a member of our staff immediately.

Parents and Guardians

You know your child better than anyone else and ultimately it is a parent or guardian's responsibility to judge or decide if a child is mature enough to use certain content online.

Chat rooms are a place where people can anonymously discuss topics and chat with other members of a website. It is your responsibility as a parent to teach your kids to not lie about their age and gain access to the site through such means.

Because of the anonymity of the internet, it is important to learn about and familiarize yourself with it if you haven't already. As with any environment your children immerse themselves into, it is always a good idea to know as much as you can about it

As a parent or guardian, it is also your responsibility to talk to your children about the dangers of life and also the internet. Below are a few ideas to discuss with them:

• Talk to your children about the dangers of giving out personal information online, even if they are only small things.
• Malicious links and computer viruses.
• Adults that are pretending to be underaged.
• Pedophiles and harmful individuals.
• Times when your children are online so you can monitor their activity.

Many mobile phones have access to the internet and can connect to Wireclub. A child may be hiding something if they are constantly in their room with their mobile phone.

Place computers in a 'family room' rather than a bedroom. This helps with monitoring online activity and potential pedophiles will be put off by background activity if your teen uses messaging services for voice conversations.

Wireclub encourages you to do an online research on internet safety for children. There are many websites that give great information on how to maintain safety and security for your children online.

Sit down with your child(ren) when they're creating their profiles and help them choose the words they will use in their profile, as well as a picture that will show their face only from the neck up. Be sure to check your child's gallery to make sure they are sticking to this rule.

Cyberbullying and peer pressure can cause huge stress on a child, a parent or gaurdian should be aware of the signs of this happening and have an open line of communication with their child so they can talk to them about what's going on, and what can be done to prevent it from happening further.

Take your child seriously if he or she reports an uncomfortable online exchange. Be sure that offensive conversations are reported to our team so they may be investigated. It could help with banning the bad member and will help to ensure the safety for your child.

Minors

Be cautious about what you put on your profile and which photos you upload. There is always the possibility online of attracting someone harmful's attention. Do not reveal your personal data such as your place of residence, cell phone number or the name of your school to unknown people or people who might claim to live nearby.

Do not meet anyone in person who you have met online from Wireclub. You might think you've met someone who is completely trustworthy, but you can't be positive they are who they say they are. Always alert your parents before making decisions about meeting people from the internet and be sure they come with you and that it is in a public setting. Don't let yourself be lured by senseless promises such as a model agent wanting to make you a model or promises of money, gifts, and the like as a reward for photos or a meeting.

Use a nickname online that doesn't include your real name and isn't aimed to attract sexual attention. Do not engage in sexual discussion on Wireclub period. We do not allow this. Your account will be banned and your access will be rescricted if you are caught engaging in sexual activity on the website.

If an adult tries to involve you in sexual discussion, asks you for personal photos, or to meet them, please report their account to us immediately.

Do not pretend to be an adult by misrepresenting your age. There is no need to do this because Wireclub is a 13+ website and has measures to protect you. Lying about being an adult will get you banned from Wireclub.

Think twice about what you install on your computer, especially if people from a chat room recommend it to you. There are malicious programs that can be used to spy on you that are disguised as funny games or a screensaver. Please see the account safety tips section for more information about these things.

Important information for adults on the site

The website's conduct is laid out within the rules and terms of service sections, but there are other things to keep in mind.

Use your common sense when talking to underaged users. You are not expected to chat with them if you do not want to and are free to make your own rooms to remove them at your leisure.

Do not pretend to be a minor in order to contact and talk with them. This is a quick way to getting yourself banned from Wireclub.

Contacting a minor in private is not condoned and may be grounds for suspension and possible deletion of your account. Do not under any circumstance try to involve underaged users in discussions about sex, send them pornographic material, try to worm photos out of them, or talk them into meeting you. Doing these things will get you banned permanently from Wireclub and you will also risk being reported to authorities.
