RedKite: Well I don't personally own one but from a person in a pet store. They said that they like high places and so anything that is the highest point they will be there. So if you have curtains... expect them climbing up them I have to admit they are cool looking critters but my cat would make quick work of them....

Jessianna: Ha ha ha...my cat sits in front of the tank watching the crickets all day. I handle my beardie a lot and he/she seems really friendly so far.
Someone recommended I buy bagged coleslaw and feed it as they like the cabbage and carrots.

however any tips are muchly welcomed!

RedKite: HA HA, Well this maybe a little off topic.. but my cat is afraid of snakes... fake ones.. Oh and yes bearded dragons do make good beginner pets. I use to have an Iguana years ago.. but was getting to big and harder to handle... They leave a nasty bite even though they have no "teeth" (A sharp ridge). So not a good beginners pet...

Jessianna: He won't even eat lettuce, he's pretty tiny there is a pic of him in my profile pics. He's still only eating crickets, should I put some fruit in there and see if maybe he prefers that to veggies?

What age do they start taking an interest in veggies? Do you know?

PTBO52: Here is more info on beared dragons:
-From Australia
-Need two different light sources UVB and daytime reptile light. Some pet stores offer these two lights together which is more convinient.
-don't eat fruit just veggies and crickets, mealworms
-if a baby the veggies must be cut up really small and baby crickets only.
-veggies they like carrots, dandelion greens not flower, romaine lettuce
no spinach or broccoli
-temp must be kept constant at 85-90 degrees or they won't eat.
-should put calcium and vitamin D3 powder on crickets
-cage has to be kept clean and dry. If moist lizard can get fungus.

Hope that helps. I had a 6 ft. iguana that died from bad advice had him for 5 yrs.
