Cephas:
Thank-you for responding so quickly crazychickenedk. That was nice of you. I haven't chatted this way before. In the past when I have visited some chat rooms it was almost immediate resonse. I didn't have to wait a few hours or a day before I got a reply.
I was a little surprised that somebody at Bookworm had heard of Dorothy Sayers. Especially since you commented on her religious works, which are not well known.
So tell me crazychickendk, what type of reading material do you enjoy? Have you ever read any Tolkien or Dostoyevsky? They are both quite different authors but I've read a few books of each. The Tolkein was a long time ago long before The Hollywood adaptations of his Lord of the Rings triligy.
Well, crazychickenedk, I've got some other things I need to do yet this evening but I wanted to make sure you got a reply to your note.
Adieu Cephas

Rasputin
Rasputin: Nice to see there's still people that enjoy reading. Personal preferences for myself are history, horror, and adventure. 'The Saracen Blade' by Frank yearby is certainly one of my top ten. An interesting book that studies the effect plagues have had on the shaping of countries, empires, on the modern world is 'The Fourth Horseman' by Andrew Nikiforuk. I'd like to actually chat with some people, but unfortunatly i'm uncertain as to how to go about it. If anyone's interested, drop me a line.

Nosferatu
Nosferatu: Hi, I'm new to this club and love to read. I've got a bunch of books that I'd like to read including the new Stephen Colbert book. I can't believe he's running for president lol.

One of my favorites is Confessions of a Master Jewel Thief (mainly because of storyline) and I'm reading the last book in the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King and Lolita.

I read pretty much any book that comes my way, Fact or fiction makes little differance to me as long as I enjoy it.

At this point I'm busy devouring any book by R.A Salvatore I can find as well as the various titles from "The Black Library".

I do not have a single book as my favourite at this time, but I do tend to Brush up on the old "Art of war" wheh I have nothing better to do.

ZoyaSshadow
ZoyaSshadow: Howdy! I'm new, but this club is the first one I looked for. I love to read, and always have a book (or 2) going. I wish to read daily, but it is not always possible. In the passed year, I have read Empire of the Ants (series), Hyperion (series), The Dowry Bride, Harry Potter, Legend, a Quebec trilogy called "Le goût du bonheur", The Thanatonauts. I also read the French book "Ensemble, c'est tout", which was great. Soon, I will start "The time traveler's wife". I'm also reading a psychology book writen by a Quebec psychologist, and it's pretty good so far. I would like to know what your favorite book was, if you have one. I know I couldn't pick one myself. But if you have suggestions, I am all ears! Happy reading!

WhiteKnight
WhiteKnight: Hi all I'm Paul, I'm new here and simply love settling down and getting into a good book, my favorite authors are: Raymond E Feist a truly brilliant Fantasy writer who has joined forces with Janny Wurts at times and created a world called Midkemia set in a medieval era, you find yourself getting to know the characters and wanting to find out more about them and how they progress through there lives, it's mostly fantasy and magic based but a jolly good read. He has a new book coming out on the 3rd March 2008, called Wrath of a Mad God, the third part of his Darkwar saga, if the first two are anything to go by this third one should be up to the same sort of callibre, so another good read. I also love Terry Pratchett and own about 80% of his books, collecting more as i find them in charity shops. Have collections from Bernard Cornwell, Tom Clancy and all of the Harry Potter Books, just reading Robert Ludlums The Hades Factor at the mo and really enjoying it with quite a few twists and turns I wasn't expecting. Hoping to make some new friends and find people with similiar interests, I am writing my own Fantasy novel at the mo and would appreciate some feed back on the first few chapters if anyone can take the time to contact me I can always email them or if you look on my profile, you can read the first 3rd of the chapter one as I can only post 40,000 characters at a time so will post a blog a day with more of the story. Take Care an kind regards
Paul.

GreyLensman
GreyLensman: Hi All Bookworms, my name is Terry and I am a sci-fi nutter. My present recommendation is the brilliant Pern Chronicles by Anne McCaffrey. This is one of the few times when I have found elements of Fantasy passing over into sci-fi. There is now an additional bonus that Anne's son Todd is also writing Pern novels and on occasions collaborating with his mum. Present title I am reading is such a collaboration called "Dragon Harper". If any of you lovely people would like exchange comments please e-mail me at writer1@writer1.co.uk Hope to hear soon.
