She's class!!! I lov her 'age of the five trilogy'!! Ammmm, i also lyk JK Rowling and Phillip Pullman! almostbarbie: I love Steven Kings never ending nightmares. He describes perfectly the demons we all hide inside our souls. And i especially like 2 things about Steven King : 1) noone of his characters are only good or only bad, they all have their sceletons in the closet, and 2)he kills his main characters in a blink of an eye; one moment they are there and the other they die. This is sooooooo real, and i dont know any other author who does that so often and in such a hard way Crystal_eyes: Well mine at the moment is stephanie meyer, john marsden and james patterson all great authors. normalgirl17: My all time favorite authors are Jane Austin and Charles Dickens. Jane because she's romantic and Charles because he wasn't afraid to write about the ugly side of human nature. forgottenone: thats true they are also very good writers too lol....idk i love alot of different ones lol Awhinanastyle: My favourite writers vary field wise. I love Jane Austin simply because its romance at its best. Charles Dickens is a good read when you need something deep and meaningful. In terms of other fic favourites: Raymond E. Feist, Jacqueline Carey, Diana Gabaldon, Dan Brown, Rob Ludlum and Stephanie Meyer. I would happily peruse through any of the above mentioned material. Non fic would be biographies by Nelson Mandela and The Dalai Lama. Truely inspirational stuff!! Naty86: Right now, Jodi Picoult. She has a great way of spinning stories so that you get the perspective from a lot of different angles. Her characters are so beautifully damaged, and no one is perfect. While basing her stories in reality, they still have a hint of mysticism. For example, SALEM FALLS or KEEPING FAITH. Other greats; Marya Hornbacher, Janet Fitch, Brad Melstzer, and Paulo Coelho DieFerrie: Don DeLillo, Tolstoy, Joyce, Muriel Spark, Isabel Allende, Marquez, Cortazar, Kafka, Hunter S. Thompson, Richard Brautigan | Books Chat Room Similar Conversations |
