anyone wanna chat? artist30: Hi, I am excited to tell you about a painter, no an artist in every since of
the word and stretch of the imagination. He is an artist that knows his true
calling, he has been painting since the age of 3 and dreamed of becoming a
New York artist. Philoche, was born in Haiti and immigrated with his family
to the U.S. some years ago.... Philoche has embraced the American culture
but has never forgotten from whence he came.

Guy Stanley Philoche is a true giver, his art grabs your attention and makes
you lose your train of thought as you gaze in amazement of colors and
symmetry. His absolute layering of colors to create color unnamed is beyond
amazing. Some describe his work as simple wonders others crave more. His
brilliance has been taken notice as evident by his collectors and sold out
shows.

Kids with Cameras, Oscar winner Zana Briski, who directed Born Into
Brothels, has teamed up with Guy Stanely Philoche to give back once again to
kids from his beloved Haiti. The collaboration will happen in May, they have
given kids in Haiti cameras to take pictures, to see what they see, to feel
what they feel, to express themselves and to give them an escape. Painting
was Guy's escape as a child. The connection is real and to do this for
children who see no way out among the fighting and bloodshed gives them a
chance to release and let the world see what they are feeling, thinking and
experiencing.

Last month Guy participated in a project which is a regular event for him
that brings major artist and foster children together to let them paint
freely, a day of joy for the children. To see their faces is priceless. I
encourage you to take a look at his many contributors and contributions
throughout his career to view what I view to see why this person should be
New Yorker of the week, month, year etc. I ask you to let others see, feel
and experience why I and countless others enjoy Mr. Philoche's work
immensley. A link to his site goes further in detail about his work and why
giving back comes so easy to him... www.philochestudios.com or simply
google him and see the many write ups.

Some still call him a rising star I say the world just needs to catch up,
because he has already arrived.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter I hope that you can
find some way to bring to light the suffering in Haiti and show the rest of
the world that art be it through photography or painting is an escape for
many Haitian born children.

Sincerly,
ME, a fan
