Nancy78: Time to bury the idea of colour and gender. Girls should be encouraged to engage with blue as well as pink and same for the lads, pink is just as suitable as blue.

amanda_t1: I suit pink as I have tanned skin, but blue is my favourite colour. Blue and brown together are gorgeous, so dark brown corduroys with a light blue shirt and brown bag from dipsticklondon.com is such a lovely mix. I suppose I love corduroy, but what ever compliments you is good and this can be worn by both men and women, so try it.

Scarcastic: Interestingly enough, pink was historically considered a very masculine colour. In fact it was the considered the "male" colour for baby boys, and blue the "female" colour for baby girls from medieval times on until around the 1930s when rather than gender, the baby's eye or hair colour determined which colour was considered most fitting for the baby. For some reason, over time they went back to different colours for different genders, but the colours were reversed from the historically traditional pink = boy, blue = girl system. Very interesting; the irony of history as it unfolds.

Scarcastic: Having said all that, I think it's very childish of a man to be afraid of wearing pink, or of anyone else to make a big deal out of it. Pink is just light red. What's the big deal, it's not like you'll catch cooties or grow breasts from wearing it.
