Rice Bowl

::: Ingredients :::

~2 cups of white rice
~3 carrots
~5 Shi-Take mushrooms
~1 chicken breast

~Olive oil
~Sesame oil
~Soy Sauce


::: How To :::

Cook rice as desired (Z made it in a cooker).

While rice is going, soak [dried] Shi-Take mushrooms for 20-30 minutes. Gently squeeze out excess water and cut into slices. Chop up carrots into half slices. Cut up chicken breast into squares. Set aside separately.

In a Wok, medium-heat oil and add carrots. Stir occasionally until tender. Add in a few drops of Sesame oil; add in the mushrooms. Remove from Wok when carrots begin to brown lightly.

Skillet chicken in Wok (add more oil if necessary). Add soy sauce when chicken is almost done. Remove from heat.

::: Serve :::

Fill a bowl halfway with rice. Add chicken. Top off with carrots and mushrooms.

Serves 1

harlett anathema: I always add bean sprouts....fresh when i can find them,and have several cans of bean sprouts always on my pantry shelf....I'm big into making my own Chinese take out...Fried rices are my favorite..........

p.s....i omit the beans sprouts when i am using left over fried fish instead of chicken,pork or beef...
