You sound like you would profit from a Bill Banks high burn workout. Then again not knowing what part of your body you need to lose the extra material, makes a difference. I go to the gym regularly but i am not seeing any results where my abs are concerned.what can i do? wadadli1979: hey guys i am really into workking out and keeping fit. I found this great webiste that has alot of natural products. Check it out: www.jrichardsskerritt.qhealthbeauty.com www.jrichardsskerritt.qhealthzone.com sexycora: the best type of cardio is sz^, sy* on the treadmill, s%y on the bike, s^$ on the rowing machine i dont mind xxCarlosxx: I've always heard that abbs are made in the kitchen, and I'd have to agree. You can do all the crunches you want, but if you don't eat healthy, well... it's abbs of flab, baby! Reeno20: Hey guys I got a question. I'm in serious training for boxing and I'm some what a butter ball, I've cut alot of weight and have alot of muscle but i don't have much time to train. How can I maximize my time for cardio and muscle building. Any suggestions would be helpful. tonyvol: whats up I been thinking about doing HGH, does anybody know or have a friend who is or has done it.It would nice to get feed back. Wolf_Prince: As far as not reaching plateau, you've got to mix up your excercises. if you do regular pushups, then switch to triangle ones. If you are doing pullups, put your arms at different angles. Far as diets go, you'll hear different stuff from different folk. I think that if you're hungry, eat. Don't eat til your stuffed, but eat til you're content. That usually works alright for maintaining energy without gaining weight if one is working out. Wolf_Prince: I got a question, and feel free to answer here or send me a message. I'm not able to make the gym where I am now, and my arms and stuff are still good, but can anyone give me some good workouts for legs that don't have to involve weights. Also, what do you all think of different home gyms, ie soloflex, total gym, crap like that. Let me know and thanks Trom99bino: cylcling can get you through a plateau. take one week where you work out with real heavy weights and then the next week drop the weight to do more reps and so on. this should help you stimulate muscle growth. also, i encourage the individual EAS myoplex protein drinks. great specialy formulated whey on the market. thugnasty119: for the abs i would also suggest long endurence types of work-outs instead of crunches try leg lifts or holding a 3/4 sit up for an extended period of time sledger57: Can't say I'm a gymn junkie, as I've worked out at home for almost 30 years, but I'm definately addicted! I've been forced, due to some un- foreseen health problems, to adapt my workouts to mostly all dumbbells (which still gives you a great workout), also a vertical leg press to add to my leg routine. Used to run, but a bum knee (and bum operation) curtailed that, so now I walk vigorously on a treadmill. So even when you get older, with health issues, you can still stay in great shape, theres no excuse! Sledger CallMeMisery: For results on burning more fat you might want to try this: eat about 5 times a day. breakfast, a snack two hours later, lunch, a snack 2 or 3 hours later, dinner, and a snack two or three hours before bed but NOT after 8. example: 7am 9am 12pm 3pm 6pm 8pm In bed by 10. This will spike your metabolism, but make sure youre eating the right kinds of food! I know everyone says this but "try" to drink close to 8 glasses of water per day. If you add a lemon, the acidity will help clear out your digestive tract. And make sure you eat right after a work out, though im sure you know this! T_Lust: I've also reached a plateau... the same one for years. I've seen commercials advertising various workout strategies (muscle confusion, for example) that seem to hold merit. I'm looking for some NEW exercises to do. I prefer workouts with freeweights and cardio equipment. Also, I've somewhat quit weight lifting on machines (bench, rows, sled, lat pulls, etc)... is that something worth picking up again? I'm not really going for bulk, I'm looking to become more toned with lean muscle. little_ms: If you dont want bulk stick to light weights and high reps, and watch your food intake. That is really key, then your muscles will come out long and lean. PiereDulaine: Try mens fitness guide..they post some workout sets too have a body which those spartans trains for...check it out! little_ms: Hey I did the p90X, its great, the plyo section is really good. But I kinda got sick of looking at the guy teaching on the disc. I m now working with a trainer on plyo s and its fantastic. lucia000: heyy i find that the best workout is swimming I'm still in school, but whenever i feel unfit and fatty I just go for a swim... do an intense workout and i feel great The thing about swimming is that you don't get that gross hot and sweaty feeling and you tone all of your muscles in your body. I don't think people realize how good of a workout swimming is, but whenever I go away in the summer to the beach I come back with the hottest body ever just from swimming around in the waves XD try it! | Health Chat Room Similar Conversations |
