Favorite metal concerts attended !! (Page 2) amberblamber: As I Lay Dying threw a pretty damn good show, but the best I would have to say is Second Death, if you know who they are that's f'n sweet! Dumbkopf: Some of the shows i enjoyed the most go back to a time when most of the previous posters in here were not even born yet, or of an age when attending a live show wasnt an option ! LOL. For example...Motley Crue (83,85,87)...Iron Maiden 84, Black Sabbath 82, Ronnie James Dio 86, Metallica 89, Triumph 84, Judas Priest (84,86), Scorpions 84, Guns 'n' Roses 87, Ac/Dc 86, Van Halen 84....just to name a few. Now some of these bands may or may not fall into what "you" consider to be "metal"...and thats okay, as the interpretation of the term "metal" has changed over the years. However, taking into account the fact that i was born in the 60's, my definition of what "heavy metal" is comes from the time when it really came to the forefront of music....and that would be the early 80's. There seems to be many bands nowadays that are considered to be "metal"....and thats fantastic. As time goes by, there is one thing that remains constant in this world, and that is change !! I would be interested to know more about the bands that exist nowadays , and just how they fit into the classification of what is considered "metal" as opposed to what i saw it as in my time ! mightypyro: ive seen ozzy 6 times black sabbath 2 times pantera, slipknot, megadeth, metallica, disturbed, static-x, godsmack, filter, saliva, tool but my fave was probably slayer o0Snowman0o: avebged sevenfold, tool, trivium and slipknot wen i was 14. that was intesnse. also, in a couple of months months time i wuddve seen KISS, ozzy, Lordi , Whitesnake and Alice Cooper at the "Rock to Wellington" Love4Slayer: I'll confirm right now that "DEICIDE" Puts on the SICKESSSST Show that I have personally seen, and I come from old school 80's & early 90's genre of metal and I'm pretty shure 2 this day & age u wont waist a cent if ya wanna see a kick ass show!! Slayer put on a SICK show as well!! I mean common kids...think about it,i'm not lookin' for ya's to agree w/me bu think about it right..."HELL AWAITS" came out around 1982 or sumthin' right? look at how far they got w/ never sellin' out, never bent over for an audience once! colabeebee: My favorite was in Nashville TN. Mudvayne, linkin park(eh, i know), slipknot, Disturbed.

Although, i do favor Marilyn Manson shows, he puts on the best. But i dont enjoy getting spit on by him....and yes, i did... theused293: Unearth,Darkest Hour,Augest Burns Red,Suicide Silence,Apairy, and !!!!Struggle Through Apathy!!!!
rammo73: man, I'm thinkin' Gwar was the most fun (who wouldn't) Lordi had the best music, and the First time I saw Cradle of Filth that was the loudest (Dimmu Borgir close second). But the biggest and best pit I've ever been in was Devil Driver, by far the craziest pit ever. When I look back on it....I've been to a lot of concerts (those aren't even a fraction of a fraction of what I've been to) CherryRipe: My favourite concert(s) would have to be big day out 99 or 00 (was bit off chops cant remember what year it was) seen Korn, Maralyn Manson, Soul Fly, Tism, etc...Korn and Maralyn were f*@ckin filth....other all time favourite concert would have to be TOOL... love them... Schecter: I haven't had the opportunity to go to alot of shows, but I was at the first Taste of Chaos which had one or two metal bands. Killswitch was pretty good. bige8181: Lamb of God, Hatebreed, alabama thunderpussy, and 3 inches of blood in lamb of god's return to richmond after 2007 ozzfest. The wall of death was ridiculous box_opener: metallica in slovenia, iron maiden in zagreb, dream theater in zagreb, pearl jam, marduk, behemoth, amon amarth rutat2ed: I'd have to say Unholy Alliance tour....Thine Eyes Bleed, Mastadon, Children of Bodom, Lamb of God....SLAYER......at GM Place!!! commanchedogsoldier: skid row and guns 'n' roses at calder park melbourne australia. the skids absolutely blew the gunners off stage with the performance of a lifetime !!!! after the first song sebastian bach yells out to the crowd "anyone got a f**king joint man?" the song list included psychotherapy, i remember you and youth gone wild. the year was 1992. fiorr: sonata arctica iron maiden blind guardian slipknot and in 26 days im going to ozzys concert!!! kisses x x x x BrandonAnvilGrey: I'm gonna have to say....Mudvayne..but that might change April 19th when I go and see Megadeth, Children of Bodom, In Flames, and High on Fire TrickTrick: I would have to say TOOL was by far the most visually and audibly mind blowing concert I have ever been too, Metallica was my no.1 band and its concert that came through calgary was epic but it pales in comparison to the TOOL concert.... unbelievable... Kaka': Taste of Chaos - Leeds 2007 Lineup: Saosin Senses Fail Underoath Alexisonfire Lost Alone Anti-Flag Taking Back Sunday FerdinandBardamu: This is a tough one. Mike D gave me the horns! Metalhead85: i haven't been to many yet but out of what i have been to, i can't choose because they were all amazing for different reasons! i would maybe narrow it down to WASP (because they were the first band i seen), Iron Maiden (both times) because they are my favourite band!! and Munucipal Waste since that was a really fantastic night and all 3 of the support acts were great and it was fantastic value for money! but i haven't been to one yet that i haven't loved. there's loads of bands i need to see!! i wanna see iron maiden this year, it's gonna be the best thing ever!! but i'm not gonna get to see them *cries hysterically* Nameless chick: iron maiden.......2 concerts in India shit i met bruce and the gang after the concert it was like heaven..... megadeth machine head concert front row head banging was f@$^y*x awesome download fest 2007 lamb of god was awesome sucky band linkin park spoiled my mood and blackmurder dahalia this winter in Uk it was awesome but nothing to beat a slayer or an iron maiden concert | Music Chat Room 20 People Chatting Similar Conversations |
