Concerts! *calling all Concert Junkies* blake_sandman: How many have you been to? Ever catch a guitar pick, drumstick, setlist or any other cool soveneir? Ever got to meet a popular band after the show? What was you all-time favourite show and why? Have a crazy concert story, lets hear it! DanceFuxkerDance: too many concerts to count! I'v caught a drumstick from The Rev [avenged sevenfold], a pick from Saosin, a pick from Crossfade, and a pick from Atreyu. Ive met several bands, like Chiodos, Atreyu, It Dies Today, The Human Abstract, The Confession, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, uhm and a few others that i cant remember at the moment. lol One of my favorite shows would be Chiodos, because the vocals are amazing, just like they are on the cd, its almost identical. My other would be my first show, and that was Avenged Sevenfold! it was just more than amazing and got me completely hooked on going to shows. dannilane: been to countless shows were totaol show junkies i have coaght a drum stick fm great white lots of picks. hung out with robo fm blk flag but he was playing with misfits hung with others im the chick front row or in the pits. my doaghters name is araya and we named her after slayer and we meet him and had a guitar signed to her 4degreeshigher: How many have you been to? Ever catch a guitar pick, drumstick, setlist or any other cool soveneir? Ever got to meet a popular band after the show? What was you all-time favourite show and why? Have a crazy concert story, lets hear it! LOL thats crazy!! I've been to a bunch Nah my friend got the drum stick to Allele though that was pretty badass!!! I got to meet Wes Borland! before you talk shit this was a recent show; Black Light Burns Tool 06! it was the shit and Maynard is the shit! Allele/Switched was just a crazy ass f~#z$~w show over all!!!! blake_sandman: Woah naming your kid after Tom Araya that's pretty hardcore. I've seen Slayer twice and Tool twice, both good shows. Well I guess I should answer my own questions on here. I've been to over 80 concerts and seen over 200 well know bands and that's not including all the unsigned local bands. I only caught one drumstick and that was from Staind, almost had a Pearl Jam drummstick but let's not talk about that haha. I am pro a getting guitar picks, I get one almost every show now. I haven't counted in a while but it's over 50 now for sure. Picks from some of the best guitarist in the world here's a few of the better ones: Kirk and James from Metallica, Kerry King from Slayer, Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath and Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains. I got to hang out and drink backstage with the Detroit band Sponge. Met lots of bands in Detroit actually, I find at smaller venues they are more likely to come out and shoot the sh!t. Talked to 7 Mary Three and Blind Melon. I find in Canada the bands are more personable, they will even smoke joints with ya like the time I hung out backstage with the Salads. My all time favourite show was in Toronto Ontario. It was called Sars Stock and there was around 400,000 people there. I met so many cool people that day, people from around the world. My fav band of the day was AC/DC. When 400,000 people began to chant the beginning of Thunderstuck that moment was electric, never heard anything like it before. The Rolling Stones were after AC/DC. I have too many crazy stories and most of them you just had to be there. Besides the music obviously, I like concerts because of the people that go. If the band plays an awesome set and the crowd is not into it for some reason it effects the whole show. Detroit has some of the best crowds, they don't call it Detroit rock city for nothing. The band I most regret not see is Pantara. I didn't know some a$$hole was gonna kill Dimebag but man I wish I saw him. I also regret not going to Woodstock 99 cause that was an amazing festival from all the videos i've seen. And finally the band I most want to see live in concert is Rage Against the Machine. Most common heard phrase after every concert no matter the band: "That was the best show I've ever seen!" haha every time I swear dannilane: a long time ago i got to hang out with the wailers minus bob of course . fish bone its almost to hard to remember them all . i got to see pantera 3 times one of my all time fav bands my husband hung out with dime bag a few weeks before he got shot.i cant even remember how many pics we have well over a hundred . i have even been up close personal with dave navaro in janes addiction that show rocked. i probly could go on all day telling you stories. we never leave a show with out something my man has a bunch of song list to . my daughters first show was meat loaf and cidy loaper to funny hun. i grew up with meat loaf. she has also seen alfa blondie been to rega on the rocks three times its a show in colorado awesome venue. and has seen poison twice and KISS. i coaght pics fm gene simons of kiss well i guess i ll have to think of more blake_sandman: Hey those are some good stories of great bands! I wish I could have met Dime I was talking to someone at a bar last week and he met Dime 7 weeks before he got killed, gave some kid a guitar that night. I have never heard a bad story about him. Friendliest guy in metal. motu: ya i ve meet guns n roses in the japan concert i was young korn in dubai concert ozzy osbourne in canada many many of those i have played slash guitar thisperson: ive met like no-one famous but ive been lot of gigs..tool twice(The BEST), KISS were amazing last year..Soulfly last night..Caught a Dragonforce pick but i lost it...not that i really care...band called biffy clyro from my hometown have started to get pretty famous like selling out all over britain. dont know about anywhere else. guy from h20 kicked me in the face stage diving so i tried to steal his shoe....but he got away...met death rapper necro, tried to get ma mate to fu ck a some groupie while his girl was there then tried to get us to smoke some %w*zk blake_sandman: hahaha that's hilarious. No crabs don't count but Pantera does. Seems like everyone seen Pantera but me. K622: I missed a concert tonight that I really wanted to go to. Missing it right now actually. So Im pretty much sittin here being all sick and miserable. =/ Eh, f&@# it. I guess if I was a die hard fan I would have went anyway. Its just Im such a baby.
