kingfisher22: depends on what you mean by best, i think technically speaking the best ive ever seen is chris broderick, the most soulful playing is jimi hendrix, the riffmaster would be dimebag darrell, and my personal favorite would have to be dave mustaine. i can only speak on rock and metal playing, but there's great guitar players from every genre. also it depends on if your talking about playing lead, rhythm, or both
