Cyanide_Addiction92: Without even a doubt in my mind, James Hetfield before he destroyed his voice. Although it was still pretty freak'n awesome in the 90s.. Something happened around 2002/2003 that messed it up some more. He's either learned to use what he's got left, or his vocal chords have healed a little, because he's starting to sound a little better as of 2011. The problem is that Metallica is a 30 year old band, and they are getting any younger.
