slapshot: we all have an opinion on which band is legendary. of course pink floyd and zepplin,beatles rollings stones and so on. that is a given they are timeless. you never get tired of their classic sound and such...we forget about Cream, Emerson Lake and Palmer,Moody Blues,The Birds,even the Mamas and the Papas. some of these bands were instumental in their genres. Even going as far as Lionel Richie and the Comodores,Earth Wind and fire, in their own right are pretty amazing and one could say legendary even if it is not traditional rock,but still very influential.

it's RUSH.

classicrockdude61: RUSH. they've only made one lineup change in nearly 40 years of recording. After their 1st album RUSH they replaced drummer John Rutsey with drummer Neil Peart not knowing at the time they'd not only be getting a drummer but a kick ass lyricist too. His lyrics blow me away and Geddy's vocals driving them forward doesn't hurt either.
