Movie Review 2: Apollo 18

B0B 101
B0B: What happens when NASA goes back to the moon on a secret mission so secret that the astronauts themselves don't know what it is? Apparently, they make a great movie about it that most critics don't like because, apparently most critics have their head stuck up their behinds. This movie wasn't the best horror movie ever made, but it might just be the best one they've made this year. There weren't many jump out of your chair moments but the whole feel of the movie was creepy, if for no other reason than you only got to see what got taped on the 'mission'. 3 characters only ensured that this movie wasn't going to win an Oscar. The truth is, you've seen a scarier movie than Apollo 18, assuming you've ever seen more than 5 horror movies. All that sounds like it makes for a bad movie eh? Surprise though, the movie worked. It worked because the whole thing felt claustrophobic. At no point did you not realize that you were viewing footage from a crappy NASA camera. If that were it this movie would've been watchable, but not creepy. What made it creepy were the moon spiders. Some critics have said they lacked imagination. My reply to this is those particular critics lack imagination and probably smoke crack with inmates. Not only were these things original, they were downright ickified. The gist, go see it if you want to be entertained but avoid it if you're looking for something that might make you wet your pants. a 6.5 out of !0.
