Nexicon27: i'm a liverpool fan and i'm still saying you can never ever right off Man Utd. They unfortunately still have what is possibly the best manager in the world for the past 15 years at least. He still has plenty of money to spend and plenty of talent still in his squad.

Utd always start off fairly slow kinda like Italian teams in the world cup. Slow to get going but always there at the end.

They do really need the likes of Berbatov, Nani and Anderson to step up and be the players that they can be though.

LfcSupporta: Although Manchester United are weakened with the losses of CR7 and Tevez it would be silly to right them off at an early stage. In 1995 Manchester United lost the first 2 games of the season followed by a draw and still won the title. Im a Liverpool fan and as much as it pains me to say it I think Ferguson has found a system in which the standard of the player doesnt have to be world class - providing they play by the tactical system he sets out for the game. This is why they are effective with players like Fletcher, Brown, O Shea and Park in the side and thus may not have to replace players he has lost immeadiately.

zapre: didnt they get off to a slow start last season though?

theyve been there and done it enough times under ferguson to be wrote off 2 games into the season, they have still got that old guard around (which personaly it think he got lucky having that bunch off kids come through at once, but subsequently build on them foundations)true they havnt brought many youngsters through who have had the impact of that generation but its not as if they havnt got the infastructure and finance to rebuild teams just as ferguson has in the past

Mike_7: 5-0 against wigan...there you go! United are recovering already. Ferguson made quite a few changes to the squad though from the one that played Burnley. It payed off quite well...eventually.
