likeafireworkshow
likeafireworkshow: I don't like it, there are less rooms, less freedom and same amount of weirdo's.

ColonelKusanagi: you sure it's the same amount of weirdos? i suppose if you subtract the annoyed members and add the children the weirdos level out.

ColonelKusanagi: oh so many already have, that's part of the problem. Sure people like making new friends but if their current friends are all gone what is the incentive to come on? Ever hear of giving something time to improve? I get being annoyed at everyone whining about it but constructive criticism has been asked for and changes are slowly being implemented.

Usually only old people are resistant to change.

lavendar_star: Not a fan of this new format, but it the 13-19 yr olds in the chatrooms I find creepy (theres a American show called to catch a predator about Internet prevs who groom children in chatrooms, owners of wire beware). Anyway, I thought the kids were going to have their own rooms but their they are in the chatrooms with adults and adult conversations. I already have a under 19 yr old guy requesting friendship no way. Plus I do not like the segregated chatrooms by countries the Internet should be about the global not the local. But other than that kind of getting use to it but I prefer the old wireclub by a long mile.

ColonelKusanagi: the whole thing with the kids if a bit silly, if they are on the internet they have access to far more horrible things than raunchy conversation, i'm gonna switch sides on this debate and say at least you know they are minors now and can choose to behave accordingly. It doesn't take much thought to figure out that you can make yourself out to be any age. as a kid in the dawn of the internet perverts tried to solicit me on a regular basis, as an adult perverts try to solicit me on a regular basis ... of course it's not right but it's reality. the uncomfortable "sex talk" parents used to have has been replaced by the web almost entirely. Fantastic! Who likes uncomfortable conversations? What's the backlash? That uncomfortable conversation gets replaced with a much more uncomfortable conversation about predators, violators and the like and what to do when someone offers to insert a foreign object ... We should have the option to block friend requests if not communications from known minors in general tho.

introspec: Katy, it's a wicked cruel world that allows bright 18 yr olds to fight in military, but restricts them from a cool beer, tobacco, 'adult' chat rooms, etc............as if they don't indulge in those anyway.
Beware the 'Nanny State' zealots. Prohibition came and went, with installation of advanced criminal organizations, and other harmful byproducts.
I do NOT advocate tobacco, alcohol, or premature sexual adventures......
And, yes, there are criminal predators in chat rooms........But, use great caution, and exercise responsibility at all times......Good luck.....................

beanalbert: In my opinion the old wireclub was more user friendly than new one.It would have been best to integrate the new functionality they have added in new wireclub to old one without changing the UI.I also liked some of functionality that was absent in old wireclub.

psycho_wolf: What happened to my group links? I had a coupla groups saved to my "home page". Now in the place of my shortcuts there, they have put this "suggested friends" thing. And half of the people on my list are people I deleted from my friends list. While several others are people I chose not to friend, from a previous group here (before I quit that group)
