I am Canadian

Canada Is My Country
George: I will stand in long line ups for cheap coffee even though I have premium import at home where there is no line up to the coffee maker.

My country men consider themselves more worldly than our American brothers but most can't name all the capitals of the provinces and territories...Many don't know how many territories there are...and if you ask them about the Pacific Scandal they will probably say something like, "The A-bomb ended the war". They know a lot about the USA and other places though....

If I don't want to talk to a stranger I can pretend I don't speak English

My money is cooler than Monopoly cash

In the 15 – 64 age group, for every 100 men, Canada has 102 women...People don't come to Canada for its freedom. They come for the ladies

I DO NOT say eh a lot...but Canadians in the East say it all the time...Hello world! Toronto isn't the center of the Universe or Canada!

I do not live in an igloo...or drive a dog sled...eat seal meat...or wear beaver pelts.

We invented basketball! We prefer man sports so we like leagues where hitting is allowed. Hockey+Beer+Hot Women= 100% Canadian Awesomeoness!

the right to free medical. Free medical that I pay more for in hidden taxes than it would cost me to buy 10 full coverage medical insurance policies for 10 people in most parts of the world.

Wo3Shi4tu4: To be a Canadian is to work hard. I am proud to be a hardworking Canadian for his Country.

Tears of pride flow down my cheeks knowing that up to 70% in some cases of my hard earned fruits from my hard work goes right to the Government in the form of various taxes.

I am so proud that our trustworthy (NOT) politicians then take that money and spend it on various frivolously awarded government contracts. Most of these contracts being awarded to their friends and/or connections.

Such joy comes to my Canadian heart to then see my politicians receive back in the form of a kickback between 10-30% from the person who was awarded the contract.......all in cash....all tax free.

I am so proud to be a Canadian. Canada is where my Prime Minister (Mulroney) was caught receiving $300,000.00 cash stuffed in an envelope in a hotel room in exchange for a contract to sell helicopters to Canada. We don't nickel and dime like the Thais do. Canadians know how to go for the big bucks. And we don't send assistants or bagmen to do our job. In Canada, the boss himself comes to the hotel room to make sure the deal is done right.

Wo3Shi4tu4: Being a Canadian, I have the right and honour to pay over $1.00 per litre of gas when I know that there are parts of the world that are paying up to 2/3's less.

It is a pleasure to know that my fellow Canadians are too complacent enough to organize an effective boycott that would bring the oil companies to their knees while at the same time not restricting their gasoline use not 1 iotta.

For example, what if my fellow canadians boycotted Esso until they lowered their prices? Believe me, Esso would eventually feel the pinch and I guarantee you that their prices would tumble. Next, move on to Shell, then Petro Canada, etc. etc.

Being a proud Canadian means not knowing what the saying "Divide and Conquer" truly means, except when it comes to Quebec.

It is a proud Canadian indeed knowing that they have made significant contributions to the record windfall billions in profits that the oil companies currently enjoy.

Thank god my fellow Canadians enjoy paying sooooo much for their gas and do not have the fortitude to mobilize and execute such a simple but effective strategy.

Wo3Shi4tu4: A proud Canadian has the honourable right and duty to pay some of the highest taxes in the world.

When I first came to Asia, I asked my accountant for the various forms needed for employees to fill out for their withholding taxes from their salaries.

He looked at me like I was an idiot. He then explained that here in Asia, not 1 penny is taken as withholding tax from one's salary. I then asked him what kind of a third world country this is?

In my first world canada, we enjoy the right to have between 30-70% of our salaries taken right off the top in the form of taxes.

Yes, I wear a toque! Too bad it seems it didn't quite protect enough of my brains from the cold......the part that does most of the logical thinking seems to have frozen up from the cold that I have to endure in this great white north.....my country.....my canada.

Wo3Shi4tu4: I am proud to know that in Canada, I get to pay $50.00 for a shirt that in other parts of the world would cost me only $1.00.

Why you ask? Because, Canada is a protectionist Country. Being a Canadian, I have to pay some of the highest duties in the world on these products. Most countries are duty free and free market rules.

To be a Canadian is to believe that Canada is a free country.....I am proud of the saying that ignorance is truly bliss as the fact of the matter is that Canada is one of the least free countries in the world.

Canada is one of the most hostile environments for business. We are Canadian.....we don't need jobs that a healthy business climate can create. That's what welfare is for.

The benefits of being a Canadian.

Wo3Shi4tu4: As a Canadian, I get to enjoy 110 electricity when most of the rest of the world uses 220 power.

Basically, that means, when I need to use a heavy duty appliance in my home, I have to arrange for the electrician to come out to wire a 220 outlet and pay a fortune in so doing. Things like your stove or dryer for example use 220 power. In many other parts of the world, there is no need for hiring electricians to do special wiring.....it's just plug and play as they say...

Wo3Shi4tu4: A proud Canadian knows that they have the right to live far away from their workplace.

What kind of a moron would take a 5 minute walk to work when I as a Canadian have the right and pleasure to commute 1-2 hours by driving.

I live sooooo far away from my work because I cannot afford the housing prices that are prevalent so close to my job. I am not dumb....I am Canadian.....and I refuse to pay those kinds of prices for housing.....I'd rather spend a lifetime in commuting, paying ridiculously high prices in gas.....risking my life on the roads....then to invest in real property that I could probably flip for almost double what I paid for it in a few years.

True definition of a Canadian. Can anyone say baaaaaaahhhhhh (as in sheep)?

Wo3Shi4tu4: Andddd....speaking of commuting.....as a proud Canadian, many of us take public transit to work.

To be a Canadian is to enjoy first world public transit.

In other countries, you get on a bus and 15-20 minutes later, you arrive at your destination. No transfers needed to get on other buses.
Just 1 quick ride on 1 bus gets you to work.

What kind of a dumb system is that? Makes no sense.

Let me give you an example of a much more efficent way that we use in Canada. Assume that you live in a housing development at or around Kennedy and Hwy 7 in Markham and you work in Mississauga......first, there is a fifteen minute walk waiting for you in order to find the nearest bus stop. So refreshing! Especially in the winter time....there is nothing like walking in heels in 3 inches of slush, snow and ice in 20 below weather. Then you take the York Region Kennedy bus to Steeles Ave. Then wait in the cold for 15 minutes until the Steeles Ave. bus comes and transfer onto it and ride it until Yonge St.

Then take the Yonge bus to Finch Station. Then the Yonge subway to bloor. Then the Bloor Subway to Islington. Then wait another 40 minutes for the Mississauga transit Bus (Dundas) to show up to take you to Dixie Rd. Finally, get on the Dixie Rd. bus to your final destination to the Stage West Hotel at Matheson. Total commute time = 3 hours.....just one way......commute back home....another 3 hours......

So as a smart and proud Canadian, I get to work 7 hours (8 hrs less 1 hour for lunch) and commute for another 6 hours.

Much more efficient to live in first world Canada. I just don't know how these 3rd world countries survive????

Most of the world pay only the purchase price of the item being purchased. How ridiculous not to charge tax????

Too bad they paid 10 times more than other parts of the world do.

Too bad they get to enjoy these nintendo games or electronics 1-2 years after they have come onto the market in other parts of the world.

Wo3Shi4tu4: To be a Canadian is to live in one of the harshest environments known to mankind.

We love our winters. We love the ice cold. That's why our houses have no heat...ooops...my mistake.......we do have heat in Canada. It's Asia without the heat.

Nothing like a good old heart attack to trim the population while out shovelling snow!

We love driving in treacherous road conditions....black ice, white outs, etc. We get to hone our driving skills this way. Life would not be challenging if we didn't risk it everyday driving.

I just love that 24 hour per day rush hour on the 401 everyday. Afterall, taking 2 hours to go from East to West means no speeding, only crawling and less wear and tear on my car.

The benefits of living in Canada. I am so proud to live in such a corrupt free (well hidden anyways) Country. Thailand should take lessons from us as to how we are able to hide our corruption so well.

Wo3Shi4tu4: I just don't know how some parts of the world can tolerate living in a society that canes people for breaking the law. Such barbarism.

To think, the people residing in that third world country of Singapore live in a crime free society, a safe society, an orderly society, a clean environment....no drugs, no gangs, no crime, no muggings, etc. etc.

Shakes head.

We are an adventuresome people in Canada......we enjoy navigating around the ghetto's so as we don't get mugged, robbed or even killed. It's fun to avoid the gang wars, the random drive by shootings, the subway swarmings, etc. etc. It's nice to know that we can buy drugs at anytime day or night on just about any street corner.

Where would we be if not for all the wonderful crime that we enjoy?????

Where else but in Canada do you have 1 in 5 graduates not being able to pass a simple literacy test? Certainly not in third world Singapore. We should be proud that we can produce so many factory workers and street sweepers in Canada.

And why the need to read anyways? Newspapers will soon be obsolete. Canada is leading the way....I am sooooo proud.

Wo3Shi4tu4: Canadian Companies have the most intelligent people working for them.

These people know how to make money. They know how to use modern technology.

I am so proud of them.

Here's an example.......Canadians invent the water heater for the home. This allows you to take a hot shower, a hot bath, wash dishes in hot water, etc. etc.

The Asians do not have this......such third world idiots they are.

Canadians know how to utilize space. They invent a hotwater heater tank that is huge and takes up soooo much space. This allows hot water to be stored in vast amounts and be heated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. How intelligent are the electric and gas companies to make us use their utilities 24 hours per day, 7 days a week in order to keep the water heated and hot whether or not we are using it.

Now, that's first world thinking.....first world money making.....first world technology....Canada. I am sooooo proud.

phffft! In Asia.......they use a small rinky dinky little box.......measures about 1 foot x 1 foot and is about 2 inches thick. This box mounts to a wall. It has a temperature control on it. It does not turn on until the hot water tap is opened. See how stupid their utilities' companies are? No gas or electric power is used until it is needed.

So, the way it works..........the cold water goes into 1 side of this box and comes out the other side hot. Too simple...too third world. The Asians don't know how to use all that extra space that they will have by not having a hot water heater/tank in their home. And they won't know how to spend all that extra money they will have left over from saving so much on their utilitiy bill. See what I mean? Third world.

And why won't this work in Canada? Because Canada has 110 power....much more advanced than 3rd world 220 power. 110 power is not strong enough to heat the water so fast in such a small box.

Canada is first world......what a difference. I just don't know how they survive in the 3rd world??????

On a serious note.....Canadians have been lied to, brainwashed and have bought into the biggest propaganda campaign in the history of mankind.

If the truth ever came out but more importantly, if the truth was ever believed by Canadians....1 of 2 things would happen......
1) Canada would become deserted as everyone would leave....or
2) revolution.

But, don't worry my fellow Canadians. We are a complacent society....we don't like to shake things up.....we are well behaved.....we do as we are told and believe in what we are told.....afterall......those rich, rich people way up there know what is best for us and will do what is best for us. No cause to ever doubt them. We are all Canadian afterall....aren't we?

Wo3Shi4tu4: Speaking of buses and other things........Canada is by far the best.

Canadians love to collect things in their pockets....many things.....that is why the public transit companies use subway tokens, bus tickets, student tickets, metro passes, transfers, etc. etc. etc.

Dumb asians.....to think they use what they call a smart card. It is the size of a credit card. You can top up this card at any 7-11, circle K or millions of other stores. Example.....you get on the bus, put the card on the reader.....the reader deducts the fare from your card and you're done.

You can also use this card to buy goods and services at millions of shops. To think, why would Asians invent such a third world system when you can have bus tickets, streetcar tickets, subway tokens, transfers, student tickets, student passes, etc. etc. (all easily counterfitted by the way). Shakes head. Makes no sense......the Canadian way, all the way, 1st world living.

So proud to be Canadian. Why on earth do I live in such third world conditions, I just have to wonder.

PS: back to a serious note, I actually had someone ask me that a while back. They actually asked me why I would subject myself to living here in Asia when I can enjoy the first world living standards that Canada has to offer......I didn't answer her......I was too mind boggled to think of a good answer. I was finding it hard to fathom that she actually asked that in a serious manner and actually believed it so.

1) when travelling most countries love Canadians we respect other countries and are not royal
pain in the asses and we tip lol have heard that from many people who work in
the service industry in many countries and cruise ships

2) think about how lucky we are to have free medical care,

3) we have a beautiful country and have wide open spaces and not so crowded, or as polluted

we have our problems just like any other country , but it is still one of the best places to live
It is easy to run it down , BUT CANADA KICKS ASS

The giant midget: Red I too love Canada and proud to be born here but after traveling to other nations over the years it's mind boggling how behind the world we Canadians really are
Hot water tanks is a great example.
I build new homes here ,about 5 years ago the tankless water heaters came into the market it was the latest technology in Canada,My parents build their vacation home in Europe 56 years ago and it already with tankless system LOL
Why we behind???

Canada is trying very hard to be green specially with EV's ( electric power cars) with minimal success, and majority are still dual fuel systems
In 2012 I seen a Nissan full EV in Europe where my sister already had bought the car 3 years earlier
Why these cars not in the Canadian market back than ???

healthcare isn't free , maybe that's why we have to wait many many moons to see a specialist,
Buddy need hip replacement he was told to wait 7 months on top of 5 months of being tossed around the halls and offices of medical facilities
He inquired about a private facility in the USA,where he booked on a Wednesday consultation, surgery on the Friday back in Canada on Monday
The kicker here was it was paid by the Canadian government health care insurance

Yes proud to be Canadian 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
