Hyenablood: I am not free of worries, I gotta worry about my future, how will I afford to live on my own with no job, how can I get a job if no one will hire me, are they not hiring me because of that one supervisor from one of my last jobs gives bad refences ? worry, worry, worry.  skywalker_xq: I'm still an undergraduate student and im working really hard to get a chance to go abroad for further study. toefl, gre&gmat, gpa....everyday!! I'm getting tired of these stuff. However, it seems that I'll worry more after being admitted..i feel tense  Nathaniel Nirvana: I got behind on my rent, so a friend paid it for me, now I still worry as I feel obligated...to do what I dont know as he says he doesnt want repaying, but still... grantcogbill: Yeah, I got in debt because of surgeries. Now I am working two jobs to pay off that debt in hopes to be able to get another badly needed surgery. I pray for a quick fix of it all, but I sense that I just gotta be patient. I'm immature sometimes and want to fold my arms and quit if everything is'nt like I think it should be. But GOD sends me gracious remingers that that is silly. Today I was in a restaurant and a widow... grantcogbill: ...was sitting near me and she had brought the employees Rice Krispy treats. She had just retired after 35 years at the bank and was lonely, but cheerful. grantcogbill: Everyone called her by name. Miss Dorothy (gotta love the south). They checked on her and asked for recipes. She kept telling them, "Wish me luck, i'm about to keep my appointment with the beuty parlour...so wish me luck." She was joking but no one got it. grantcogbill: Across the room there was a homeless man reading his Bible and marking in it. He would look around and his lips were moving. I've talked to him before. He is cognizant and coherent. I wondered if he was praying for us all. That's GOD you know? Blessing through the so-called least of us. skywalker_xq: i seem to see all walks of people in this world.. and maybe my troubles are just too trivial to mention. Like planting and waiting for rain. skywalker_xq: "the gifts of life taste sweet when we earn them" you're so right~!! and i just really want to be admitted to my dream school in US next year... i'll stick it out  lavendar_star: @Hyena I am in the same place as you, been looking for a job for months its very competitive in the job market in the UK and not that many jobs, I am going to try voluntary work if i can something to do and will look good on your CV (resume) good luck though and keep the faith in yourself that you will get one I am, I have no choice lol. Hyenablood: lavendar, next month here in winnipeg there will be a job fair for people with disabillities, I am not physical or mentally disabled, maybe just some anxiety in certin work place situations. Anyhow I will be attending this job fair at a hotel and I hope I can get hired. lavendar_star: Hyena, good luck with that girl, I need to go one of those job fairs myself, i have been to one of those workshops for graduates and few others to help with my CV, it can get bit dishearten when you apply for job after job and not even a interview, I had one but that's it.. just be confident in yourself and have a scrip kinda off for what your going to say for when you meet employers and they ask why should they hire you and the skills you have etc , . |
