Is there really a God tell me your Opnion (Page 3)
anthea93: I believe there is god everything happens for a reason in life. @notsur3ly i see it this way- if judas didnt betray jesus, there wouldnt be cruxification and there wouldnt be redemption nor resurrection nor salvation.
When god does good in our lives it does nt means that there will not be negativity in our lives but he is preparing us for better things in the future! For those who just lost his/her job or loved ones , just hang in there and one fine day you will look back and thank god that he didnt allow things to happen just the way you wanted it to be. He allowed it things to happen so that it can be to our advantage in the future.
I pray that all of us including me will have hope strength faith and perseverance. Do not despair! God bless! With love anthea
nawtycat_cpl: There is a god: go and look in the mirror. You are the Creator of your Universe. Everything and everyone is connected. We are all made up of 'energy' which vibrates at different frequencies......We all create our own reality.....
Charles Darwin: Well, I know this thread is an old one...But since it's recently been bumped, I'll respond.
I see no reason to believe in a supernatural explanation for things in the world. Every supernatural explanation we've had in the past for a particular phenomenon (lightning, fire, diseases, etc, etc) has been replaced with a natural explanation when we got to the point where we could figure it out. It seems that supernatural explanations are what fills in our ignorance until a point where we're advanced well enough to answer the question correctly. It's our pseudo-explanation for everything, it seems.
I see no evidence for any of this stuff. I see a beautiful natural world around me with clear natural explanations for how things got to be how they are.
So, I would say that it's a lot more reasonable and logical (less unfounded assumptions) to reject the claim introduced by religious people (that a God exists; specifically their God) rather than accept it on very shaky, questionable "evidence". Could a God exist? Possibly. Is there enough reason to believe that one does? Absolutely not. One must appeal to "personal experiences" in the way that supposed alien abductees do in order to present their case. That sort of thing is, of course, unreliable.
Just some thoughts.
wind_lu: In china, many people believe than there is a god we tell "老天爷".
Because of life pressure,I believe it too, although I can not sure it is existent.
When I can not make my wish through working hard,I think it is the god's arrangement.
SO,I can forgive myself.
Pragmatic Aristocrat: I think god was bored playing with his chemistry set and created something by accident which turned into what we have today. In any case I dont think he any longer cares for his creation. I believe we became a dissipiontment long ago and he just kind of forgot about us. If he does exist as they say.
classylady61: There is a God. When I lost my father at 14. Lost my mother at 18. Lost three brothe r, a sister and grandchild. I couldn't have made it if it wasn't a God. For those who don't believe, who wake u up in the morning. I guess you foolish enough to think it was the alarm clock. You will find ou when old man satan open the door for you. Aot of you learn it from your parent. You don't have to believe as they did. You got your own mind.
h0nd0: Gods only requirement is faith in his creation.. we cant see him because he`s in a dimension we cannot see.. but he is real.. and he can help us in our dimension.. i know ive seen some awesome acts of god.. like when i fell overboard at sea.. and my boat went away.. as i was about to be drowned.. had heavy boots and foul weather gear on.. fighting to stay afloat.. my life passed before my eyes.. i had a baby 2 yrs old on that day.. her second birthday.. i called to jesus and said.. "please lord. i cant leave her like this" .. moments later i saw my boat make a right hand turn.. a football field away.. and make a circle as i was egg beater-ing my boots to stay able to watch it.. he clearly guided it all the way back to me.. and as it passed.. i reached for the propeller of the motor.. not caring if i lost a finger or chopped my hand up.. i just knew i wouldnt.. i had faith!!.. it dragged me and i fought for over an 20 minutes to climb with my water filled rubber suit back over the outboard and into my vessel.. safe.. i didnt fish that day .. i went home and made my family know .. how much i loved them.. and god blessed me..
h0nd0: one more thing.. is.. when you pray to God.. .. he doesnt care about.. stuff you dont even know you need or dont need.. if you pray for the correct exact thing you need help with.. he will answer .. and it will be clear. he has his conversations with you that way.. if you listen you can hear him..
JEROMcsqr: Our very existence, our very ability to think and reason logically, our intelligent and purposeful design are testimonies to the existence of the almighty God.
Charles Darwin: Claims such as "our very existence is evidence of God" need to be backed up with something more than just the claim. It only works if you already believe in that God. Somebody could just as easily say "our intelligent minds and the minds of everything else on earth is evidence of extraterrestrials bio-engineering us long ago." While that claim might sound preposterous to most, the claim has the same merit as the God claim above. The only difference is a lot less people believe the aliens thing and a lot more people believe the God thing, so the God claim is seen as less preposterous.
In reality, claims should be backed up with evidence and if your claims can't be backed up, you should ask yourself "What are the reasons I have to believe this?"
As far as our "purposeful design" goes, we figured out that one over 150 years ago. This is called the "teleological argument" and it's rendered pretty much impotent by our modern understanding of biology, specifically evolutionary biology.
h0nd0: we are.. backed up by the knowledge that we are the only species on this planet.. who can cry.. and if that isnt enough.. then ask why or why not do men have hairlines that dont cover the face?..or we are the only of the creatures here who are basically hairless compared to them all.. we didnt all come to be in africa.. like the elephant who is large and hairless.. or did we? in all reality through the concept of theory.. men would have developed hair on there faces over their eyes and bushy appearances.. across their forehead.. even to a degree as animals.. who have short hair.. compared to long haired .. where are they..?.. or why have a large brain.. to see finger-prints.. ? if you need proof then you will be sorry.. because God made you.. angels, and demons, and spirits, the earth, the universe,, the whole spectrum,, just for one purpose.. . so a "MAN"..would learn.his purpose to serve the only God... ..
King Karma: We can not know, but if there is one I dont think he probably cares about me. At the same time I not done a lot of things which Christianity would consider a sin so maybe ill still get into heaven if there is one.
classylady61: God forgive you for your sins but if you don't believe in heaven or God you not going to heaven. Don't u read the bble? You have to believe.
