Is there really a God tell me your Opnion (Page 5)
h0nd0: a very important note.. this EARTH is not the EARTH our GOD started with . this is earth #2.. (after the wiping floods of noah) ones step above HELL.. or shall i say less like heaven.. and more like the holding ZONE before the bus ride... to one way direction to the courthouse... if you dont choose to be on the bus.. dont worry.. you have had a life and the contract was fulfilled by God.. there`s no debate on whether you can sue.. GET ON THE BUS.. make the journey.. you have only the rest of eternity to loose..

ghostgeek: I thought a monkey or two had left this place in a rocket ship. Oh yes, and didn't somebody go clodhopping on the moon?
h0nd0: the satellite.. we call the "moon " is our partner its not the sun.. 93-4 million miles .. which god can be there in the blink of an eye.. the moon is in the same place it always was.. it and we will never leave it.... to explore things like God says we can just go within.. and find the answers.. he made us in his image.. if you can prove he doesnt exitst tell us.. but until .. then and i know you cant.. dont troll.. be original. monkeys are from here.. but they have never left just because they were forced to explore.. nothing happened so that was a wash up.. clearly you dont understand this thread..
ghostgeek: h0nd0, I take it that when you speak of "God" you mean the God of the Bible? If so, then there is no reason to think that this deity exists. Just look at Exodus. Nothing in that book indicates the existence of God. The first nine plagues of Egypt are easily explained as natural phenomena and the tenth, it is easy to see, never actually happened. As for the theophany at Mount Sinai, from the description of events it is quite clear that what was being described was an encounter with a volcano. If you check out the location of Midian, you'll see it is in what is now north west Saudi Arabia, a region that has been volcanically active in living memory. And as I'm sure you'll be aware, it was to Midian that Moses led the Israelites, to the Mountain of God where he first encountered the Burning Bush.
Now you try and prove that God exists.
h0nd0: lol.. um exodus was written by moses.. also considered an egyptian at the time.. his accounts were described in person.. in his writings.. no different than Mohammad in his.. he indicates in his writings a burning bush.. that spoke to him.. on mt zion.. a holy place.. if God can speak through a bush.. he can speak directly to a mind and no knowledge of that can be heard by anyone but the receiver of the messenger.. i have regular conversations with God.. and i get clear answers.. the day you dont pray.. about what you need, wish for, hope to happen .. or desire, will be the day you can say he isnt within you.. i know you do however.. like all men, you dont believe he doesnt exist,, you cant... .. if you try, to believe a false reason to interject into your beliefs you find your self wanting him more.. and then the conundrum begins .. because you think opposed to GOD.. he`s a cosmic tyrant.. which in its self is proof.. he "is" .. a "fact" to you... Goodluck with that..
ghostgeek: Exodus written by Moses? Where the fuck does it say that? If you haven't noticed Deuteronomy, supposedly one of the five books of Moses, describes his death. So go on, explain how a dead man can write about his death and burial. But then, I see you have regular conversations with God. Well, say no more. Just give my regards to the fairies at the bottom of your garden.
h0nd0: The Five Books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy... what makes you believe that a book cannot be written by a man that has died? many authors have died and written books that we read .. too bad you never have understood the significance.. hemingway was such a man.. moses died during the exodus before his people came home.. i think 40 years is plenty time to write a few books.. think about it.. then put your teeth under your pillow..
ghostgeek: Right??? I guess things are different in America. In the rest of the world dead men don't write.
h0nd0: writing a book doesnt require life to publish... seems like you live in a dream land or perfected idealism.. dont you realize life itself is never fair.. i doubt moses was interested in your approval to write his very knowledgeable accounts of his work for his "lord"... seems as though you believe this whole thing was designed by men.. with your very limited view.. go back to the hellhole you studied in and rectify yourself.. dont forget Mohammed told you to honor the GOD of Abraham.. which is the same God we are discussing.. we arent discussing serpents or centipedes.. or moses for that matter.. or life in publishing.. this thread is about do you believe in the existence of GOD.. amen
ghostgeek: This thread is about whether there really is a God. Well, I'm saying there isn't, and I'm saying it for one good reason. There isn't any evidence pointing to the existence of God.
The plague of frogs. The Nile is a very long and very wide river. Just the sort of place to find myriad amphibians, i.e. frogs and toads. Exodus is set in the springtime, exactly the time frogs and toads have one thing on their minds: mating. So hoppity hop they go, back to where they were spawned, just like Exodus describes.
When something can be simply explained, without having recourse to God, only a simpleton would insist on adding a deity to the equation.
h0nd0: why would anyone care.. if the thread is over an opinion.. when the subject isnt frogs or plagues? but a whole opinion not sidetracked by a nonsensical unattainable story of your wisdom.. some believe there is a GOD, and talk about that wisdom they believe it by that of which might be a man spoke and warned people that frogs were going to infest their lives.. some dont.. and they talk about frogs.. for no reason.. not ever seeing the prophecy.. even though there was one.. choosing to believe a miracle cannot be initiated by such a man.. and i say you dont have any idea.. if you believe in the latter.. but youre still here.. looking for clues as to the truth.. arent you?.. and its right in front of you.. .. but you shouldnt have to see it to believe it.. is a main issue of GOD.. to begin with..
I would like to hear about the plague of flies!
And if it's not too much of a bother, could I get the name of that publishing company.
I'd like to know where my dead grandfather kept the spare keys to his Cadillac.
h0nd0: sorry caly but he prolly has nothing to say.. . where ever death of large amounts flesh occurs there will be plagues of flies.. this is a fact.. the eggs laid into the flesh consume it.. maggots birth from larvae ..into flesh cause the rot.. in acidosis the fluid becomes a value to the soil.. so if God makes a plague, its for a good purpose.. but whats more important was the miracle that it only affected egyptians of the time.. and created a quality of life we all call .. "Liberty"..but please remember.. that the first bible was written for the people and printed in 1454-55 in which every person involved in its print was executed.. by fire..all other books prior were written by hand.. the dead sea scrolls were discovered in 1947-59 on the banks of the jordan.. and prove the existence of moses.. and preserved in jars.. but this doesnt not pertain to the belief in God.. but in a way God`s ideal world he created wasnt protected from the devil at the time.. and this is why disease and plagues were aloud by God.. his answer to set the world right after the conception of this place was to birth an immaculate conception to which a mother and her child would be knitted together.. or weaved into a loving one.. (jesus).. though the world has to still runs its course until the last one of us has a choice.. God only waits to fulfill his plan,, mothers are knitted to their children.. and vice versa.. this is also how god evolves his design.. evolution is the knitted changes of birth.... its simple to understand..
ghostgeek: Thank you Calybonos. Nice to see you joining the party.
It is all quite simple, really. Flies and Egypt are all but synonymous. Go to Egypt in the winter and you won't be bothered by flies, but journey there in the summer and you'll be plastered head to toe by the irritating insects. What is portrayed as a divinely ordained plague in Exodus is in reality nothing more than a yearly occurrence put on by mother nature.
One can go through the first nine Plagues of Egypt and find perfectly acceptable, naturally occurring, phenomena that explains each and every one of them. As for the tenth plague, it is easy to argue that nothing substantive happened. This means, put simply, that the "plagues" listed in the Exodus narrative do not point to the existence of God.
The sad thing to see is how often those in thrall to a three thousand year old delusion, while deriding those who don't share their beliefs, offer no convinving evidence to back up their assertions. It's all just piss and wind on their part.
h0nd0: i already concluded what you were going to say.. and said it.. so if we delusional piss in the wind believers say the same thing as you. i guess you also piss in the wind.. eh?.. but as you see i threw in Gods ideal for this place and evolution.. somaybe my piss has more merit than yours..
