The Dumbest and Tiresome Book U Had Ever Read? slasian: The dumbest and most boring book I had ever read in my life is Emma by Jane Austin, I am trying to finish it for the past two years  it is the most... "greatest accomplishment in the English language..." also the most boring accomplishment.  xxzero: dumb but funny..the hitchhickers guide to the galaxy..gets a bit boring and really dumb..after book three.. slasian: Tony, how could Dan Browns book be boring (if u claim the idea dumb at least that's ur opinion) xxzero: i also missed the point about dan brown books(excluding the last one).. hitchhhickers is intentionally dumb..and fun in a very monty python style of humor..gets only dumb and lost a lot of fun in the last books (just like monty python last seasons on television).. a short resume of the plot.. "Waking up one morning, a British man named Arthur Dent awakes and find his house is going to be demolished. Ford saves Arthur when Earth is wiped out by the Vogons who have demolished the Earth to make way for a new intergalactic motorway." also another tiresome book to read is tolstoi..war and peace (not exactly a book to be read in one night).. slasian: The Hitchhiker… yes it is dumb. But WAR AND PEACE, man it’s really a book. It might not be a catchy one like today’s escape literature type but it is some grave and thick book for the mind not the eyes. I wanted to beat the teacher with the book once I finished it.  daydreams: wicked sorry abt this but wuthering heights was good yet still boring to me, i hate to insult charlotte Broonte though, but her it was just her sighn of her times , so im sure back then it was a great read...  DieFerrie: Moll Flanders is number one on my list. It's just another old white man, preaching down upon some poor miss in a twist. Har de har! Look at the w&#*$! That kind of bit. Number two is from an author I normally revere. It's The Run Diary by Hunter Thompson. It was just stupid.  crazyteddy: lol,war and peace is a thick book my one's the man who turned into himself,margarettetown and anything by anita desai....all a waste of time Metaverseguy: I just read this book about an american who meets a monk "and becomes enlightened". I've read so many of these religuous books that tell you riches won't bring you happiness and you need God or to meditate I could practically read the book without looking at the pages. Nessarose: Althalus by David Eddings. I really liked his books when I was a teenager, so I kinda felt I had to read that one too. Big mistake. Never read anything that boring and stupid, and when the guy travelled in time and got back to the beginning in the middle of the book, I almost cried in frustration. The Da Vinci Code was also really, really bad. I had to read it so I'd know what everyone else were talking about, but when every "secret" was explained three times before telling the answer, even the dumbest of readers should already have guessed it.
