Twilight saga books (Page 2) Maddie78: They are good for young adolescents, and a good read if you are not looking for anything mentally stimulating. I found them mildly amusing but not worth re-reading. _Awhinanastyle_: I have to admit, I actually liked no LOVED the Twilight series. The whole fantasy aspect took my breath away. The meeting that ONE true love who would stick by you for eternity, for ever you know? And the whole dangerous relationship was exciting as well. Imagine that. Being so in love with someone that you ignored something that would otherwise be quite natural. The movie wasn't that great. If anything, I watched it for the eye candy and to see if the cast were perfect for the characters. Not bad, not great either. Edward, Bella, Carlisle, Alice I felt were cast to perfection. Emmett was pretty good too. The others...well not so much. But to clarify. Twilight series = awesome. (Typical romantic) Lilleybug: I have to say I am completely in love with this book series- almost as bad as Bella loves Edward! I cannot wait for New Moon to hit theatres, even though the Twilight movie wasn't half as good as the book, I'm excited to see how well translated the second film turns out. I was quite sad when I finished the series last week. I'm seriously considering reading it again, and I never read a book twice. I'm also wanting to read Anne Rice's novel Interview with a Vampire, since she was the novelist that Meyer was so compared to as a vampire writer. I'm just too stoked about this saga. It's amazing. I don't care who thinks its for preteens. Don't we all have a bit of preteen still living within us? Naivity and innocence abound allowing us to still harbor that sense of hope we need to survive? _Awhinanastyle_: Anne Rice is an incredible writer. I wouldn't put Stephanie Meyer in the same category...well not quite. Have you read Midnight Sun? I totally understand what you're talking about! Cant wait cant wait cant wait! arsh_smilez: I've read the whole "saga" and its awesom. i feel each book is unique on its own, But i love the 1st and breaking dawn the most.. ( hv read them like 5-6 times.. lol) P.S. the movie ws awesome Red_Clover: I have read all the books- and they are good for a light read. Its about Vampires...like how serious can you get about the story? Its pure entertainment and fantasy, every female wants a man like Edward to love & want to take care of her, even with all her imperfections - like a clumsy insecure Bella. Despite his angst about being a vampire...Edward was strong, confident and knows what he wants...and often you dont always find that in men Anne Rice, i would say has a more "richer" writing style and her books are amazing. But Meyer seems to be geared more to the teens and its good for what it is...cant always read the serious novel. Sometimes we need some fluff in life abstrectchrist: lol the fluff doesn't ever have to be some sort of satirical vampire/human nature transfer shit though. it's just cause some people like you said 'don't know what they want' when they read. fluff to me is something that's so dark it's void any humanity, just cold blooded and graphic, that makes people who emit rainbows run. Kimberly: I enjoyed the books. I am by no means obsessed like some people are, but I liked them. I look forward to each of the movies. I hope they get better because the first movie was a let down. daydreams: i enjoy reading them, at the present moment am just starting eclipse ,at first i thought new moon dragged with jacob, but then i realised there was reasoning behind it, cant picture it dragging on too long in the movie , but i wouldnt put it down either!, enjoying the storys unfold each time. | Books Chat Room Similar Conversations |
