NNJGal01: I've read the ones you listed AND the Kama Sutra 400 BCE. What I've learned is that the troubles and joys of humans are much the same today as they were in the ancient world. Nothing much has changed (so much for evolution).

Doubleoh
Doubleoh: I once stared at cuneiform inscribed on a stone... I can’t say I read it. I have read translations of the oldest known works. Most are already mentioned. The Epic of Gilgamesh, the book of Job, Ancient Egyptian tales and Greek and Roman mythology along with eastern scripts. It’s interesting to peer through fragmented ancient scraps and get a minuscule glimpse into the mind of someone several millennia ago. We have not evolved. We are the same as them.
