What book are you currently reading? (Page 30) Groovius Maximus: Last night I finished Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. I thought it an excellent read. I just started today the second installment in Theodora Goss's The Extraordinary Adventures of the Athena Club, called European Travel for the Monstrous Gentlewoman. I really loved the first one and felt it quite worthwhile to read the whole trilogy, a trilogy whose third installment (The Sinister Mystery of the Mesmerizing Girl) was just released on October 1, 2019. So check out Theodora Goss. She rocks! (Edited by Groovius Maximus) (Post deleted by cloudygrey33 ) Plumpcherry: Blood Oath sounds so familiar. I have to check my readings station to see if I have it. Im reading Matter and Energy by Clark And The Story of Physics by Lloyd TexanAbroad: Re-reading, for the third or fourth time, the Patrick O'Brian series set in the Royal Navy at the time of the Napoleonic Wars. Now on the next-to-last one, THE YELLOW ADMIRAL. Brilliant. Metaverseguy: I just got out of jail. Read a bunch of books in there. Some books I read again and saw a lot more in them than when I read them when I was younger, LOTR for instance. I got into the Twilight series when I was in jail. I'm probably going to pick it up from the library when I get a chance. Only read 2/4 of them Plumpcherry: Met that’s why I like rereading some books over. It’s like a clearer picture every time. Groovius Maximus: I'm reading Emerald City by Jennifer Egan. It's a collection of short stories. Also I'm reading The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl. martyontario: Reading the Life and Times of Reginald Adlam and Dictionary Buster. Could be classics. | Books Chat Room Similar Conversations |
