Favorite fantasy book? (Page 4) marci512: Sooo i like to read the house of night books. I think they are freakin awesome! Its about vampires, but they dont sparkle. Its a really good series. ScuttleButt: Lord of The Rings, The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, The sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind and of course, anything by Terry Pratchett. Marvin at work: I read „The Wheel of Time“, every book, till Jordan died in 2007. This year the last book will be published by Brandon Sanderson, he wants to bring the novel to an end. I’m very curious, guess everything will be fine...of course not for everyone. ScuttleButt: Yeah, I was under the impression the whole series was supposed to be finished in one book (book 12) but now I'm hearing he wants to finish it in three books (including the one recently released). I havn't read the newest one yet so I'll reserve judgement on if this is a good idea or not till then. Marvin at work: …absolutely correct! We will see whether it is good or not. I’m thinking about starting again from the beginning, because it is a few years ago since the last book. HannahGestalt: to green angel tower by tad williams. a really long book and i don't usually have the patience for big fantasy books, but this one i didn't want to put down. thisis26: The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Farsala Trilogy. The Inheritance Cycle. Dragonlance. I am currently writing a fantasy series! Working on it.... so much work.... but it will be soooo worth it! Tasya Lova: Dreamcatcher by Stephen King..but the novel is far more better than the movie adaptation.. Marvin at work: Hey Tasya Lova, nice to meet you again and yep most novels are better than the movies. There are only a few exeptions, "Lord of the Rings" perhaps. Marvin at work: Looking forward to "The Hobbit", was last year in Hobbiton in NZ, could see some of the new scenery for "The Hobbit" Already have the book, but I haven't read it yet. | Books Chat Room Similar Conversations |
