vampires, werewolves and romance Hyenablood: does anyone read romantic books that involve vampires/werewolves ? it seems that alot of the romantic books I see, seem to fall into the whole vam/wolf/ mortal girl theme OCD_OCD: The only series I read of that nature are by Anne Rice. I've read all of her Vampire and Witches series. Can't say that they are necessarily "romance" novels, although there is that in there. I read the first Twilight book and nearly poked my eyeballs out. It was so poorly written that I swear, I was ready to tear Bella's hair out. All of that teenage angst going on and on and on and on. "Does he love me, should I do this, should I do that, maybe this, maybe that..." Yikes. Hyenablood: yeah i didn't read the book but was forced to see the movies (teenager) and nearly died in my seat, the only good part was adam beach taking off his shirt. Normally I'm not a romatic person but some of these books arn't bad, it's only the 'love him so much that it weals up in my chest and I must be with him' BS that makes me gag. Or the 'suddenly she was the most beautiful creature, that no other will ever be as great ' c@ap. I enjoy the whole fantasy supernatural stuff, but the mushy-gushy love stuff could be toned down. OCD_OCD: LOL. You couldn't have paid me enough (nor could a teenager whine enough) to make me watch one of those Twilight movies after reading the first one. I found all of the characters in the Anne Rice vampire chronicles fascinating. Her ability to develop their personalities and the in depth stories surrounding their lives and their creation is so creative and well written. Same with her Mayfair Witches series. They aren't your traditional witches. LOL Hyenablood: I enjoyed the movie interview with the vampire, based on her book, I got a kobalte e-reader for my b-day last year, still need to figure it all out so I can download books. OCD_OCD: I got a great Kindle for my birthday also, but I'm trying to get through all of my other books first. My mother is a voracious reader and she sends her books to me. I can't get caught up enough to download new books on my Kindle! Hyenablood: I want to get my books on my e-reader, I don't have enough room for all of my books!!! plus it'll be so convient, no more driving to the mall ! Imperfect_Perfection: Check out Laurell K Hamilton. Her Anita Blake Series has vampires, were animals and romance. I prefer the Merry Gentry series. It has fairies and romance. They are adult books. Nicorrette: I have enough space for books!vampires I really dont believe ,...Bram Stoker!zombies ...yes!it is prouved! Nicorrette: even aliens, yes!but wolf?wolf is teh most precious ...beast!ok ,sometimesI can not what to do with wolf....!eow! Tx_Butterfly: the best vampire books i have ever read are by J.R.Ward her Black Dagger Brotherhood series are must read for Vampire lovers! Jemstar: I'm a big fan of vampire and werebooks books.
