Fire wild
Fire wild: online relationships are much different then real life relationships cause when you have a online relationship you can do anything physical with that person you love

Livin on the Edge: It depends on the individuals and their predicaments; if they were living next door, then my opinion would be no, however if distance was a viable reason and they wanted the same thing, then yes. I have 2 good friends who maintained long distance relationships for over a year and now they are together. Where there is a will there is always a way for two hearts wanting the same. Again this is only my personal opinion and experience.

Laceysworld: From a stereotyping like opinion, the majority of people who actively look to date online are either hiding a really bad trait and are trying to get girls to have feelings for them before the girl finds out. People are FEARLESS online when approaching me. I get 75yr olds, kids, and all kinds. People do not take online dating seriously.

Livin on the Edge: I only spoke of my experiences and am sorry you have experienced yours. These are your opinions and I have expressed mine. You asked for input correct? And if not then this post is dead. I've also been approached by many women old and young, you are not alone. And no, it is serious as 2 good friends had great success and I am happy for them.

Laceysworld: I'll give you an example. In your profile you have 966 friends and less than 25 male friends.
Guys are fearless online and do not act the same as if it's real life. I'm sure in your real life you don't have a million friends that are girls and no guy friends. haha, sorry to use you as an example.

Livin on the Edge: That has no bearing on the subject whatsoever, your all over the map, we were discussing long distance relationships. I do not disagree with you that people are fearless on the internet, but I've been on here a few years and am single and straight. I was speaking of my personal experience where 2 good friends had success and wasn't that nice, good things do happen.

Dan_Long: I'm married. My online relationships last a lot longer than my real life ones because it is easier and faster for my wife to find and murder women who live within booty call distance than it is for her to fly over to Thailand and murder the girl who has been stripping on camera for me.

uglycow10: Online" dating "....great fantasy world....and that is all that it is, until you actually meet the real person...and good luck if they turn out to be the person to whom you thought that you were chatting.
Most people post fake profiles & pics....becuse they can! Look at the series , "Catfish". People seriously get their feelings hurt by others who blatantly lie to them. You have to ente this game feet first...and with eyes wide open.
Thor's idea of "snapchat" is a good one but I personally do not use any of the video chat tools because people tend to misuse it it & try to get raunchy.
If you keep it real and expect to be deceived or dumped....I suppose that it coukd be a good way to pass the time.
Some people honestly get close to each other because they constantly chat & they establish that bond of familiarity where they feel that they "know" each other.
Hey...if it works for them...that's great! There are lots of grey area in online "dating" but I would not "poo-poo" it especially if it puts a smile on someones face when they log on and see their favourite chat pal waiting for them
