Meeting with people in group or as a friend is always a date?

AretoNyx: My husband does not seem to mind when I hang out with others without him. I tell him about people I meet with for fitness walks, eating food with, and just relaxing in public to get to know. Even group meet ups happened just hanging out with others.

I wonder though is this ever dating even though not cheating?

LoisS: Just to reiterate Giants comment. No, its not dating because your initial interest isnt on a romance or looking for a potential mate level. Youre getting to know people and being social while enjoying the company of others who like the same activities as yourself. There is no harm in that unless your SO is having a problem with it.
Nice to have common interests outside of your relationships with other humans.

simontemok: You might as well own up AretoNyx that you are enjoying being apart and the attention others are giving you and flirting with you. Inevitably this will lead to cheating and why not? enjoy that too, you don't have to tell your husband. Perhaps he is hoping for that,I wonder what he is doing when you are away from the homestead. I know what I would be doing.

LoisS: Having new friends doesnt mean youre going to cheat unless that is your intention in the first place.

AretoNyx: Some may socialize online in open world games to sims. Some of these sims are adult like and for dating. In games some have option to say one is married or buy a digital home.
I like trying out open world places where I can make things.

Some sims on imvu and second life are more adult based. Though not popular to use such social platforms as much as more constructive online gaming.

AretoNyx: Is it cheating when a spouse knows that a wife/ husband goes online to adult based places to socialize?
Cartoony nudity happens in some of these places like nude beaches. Though some other adult places are more like cartoony porn. Porn in general is not the most interesting but I do have interest why others are into anything related. I rather have a good conversation and play games that feel constructive.

Sometimes socializing online makes me feel lonely realizing the distance between people. Solitude is nice some days but I miss real life interaction. Working in retail at least I get some chat face to face for better or worse.
