Plumpcherry: haroldguillen: Yes, that it will do, or self-destruct. I find it to be a better place to be. In my case it helps a lot. I just wish the information stuck, but in between my flaws a good book always grab me for that moment, and sometimes help me to see things brighter.

haroldguillen: the best way to learn something is to be able to explain it to someone else, would be glad to help. explaining it can reinforce the learning process.

haroldguillen: my pleasure, recently started reading philosophy, a subject for the ultimate curious, the practice of constantly asking questions, a teacher once said, " The wrong question is the one you don't ask"

Plumpcherry: Exactly.
There is no wrong or stupid question. And sometimes a question needs to be repeated for accurate feedback.
I’m going to put that in my to-read list.
Thank you hardoldguillen

haroldguillen: true, repeating for accurate feedback can enforce in the learning process, questions constantly get asked to find the most fundamental answers, investigation. When I use to tutor math my students had trouble with the word problems, so I would have them build the word problems around things that interested them, one student was into basketball, very knowledgeable, so I had him build a word problem around the sport, point per shot, distance from the free throw line to the basket, stuff like that, and he started getting it, it was cool to be able to help someone learn while reinforcing my own learning and teaching process, stay curious

Plumpcherry: Yes, exactly.

It remind me of when I used to babysit. That’s how I would teach my six year olds how. to read.
I’ll be doing my math soon. Im reading my elementary book. Help keep me familiarize with my elements.

haroldguillen: I took an algebra class where I had two notebooks, one for taking notes from the lecture and what the teacher was writing on the board and another one to help my classmates, totally reinforced what I was learning. there's always that excitement when i'm able to explain a concept to someone and when that person starts understanding everything, i'll be working on my business math soon, and i'm also reading philosophy in part to help me come to terms with my Dad's passing. good luck with your math

haroldguillen: Part of what got my father was dementia, his mind was withering away, it's has to be an awful feeling to not be able to use the mind, to think, recovering from a car accident last week, involved my car being hit from behind, while I didn't suffer major injuries, I want to make sure my need to learn and may nature for curiosity have not been affected negatively, last night, coming home late from work, picked up and started reading an economics books while having late dinner and did some writing also, definitely a refreshing feeling, I like the color red
