What's the most you ever spent eating sushi? ladysonoma: The other poster brought up some good points about AYCE Sushi. It just made me curious... what are some crazy amounts of money you spent in one night on sushi? Me? $250 If I remember correctly, it was 6 roll, 4 special order rolls, 4 orders of sashimi, one dynamite, 2 extra large sakis, 2 saporos. Keep in mind, this was over the course of 4 hours of dining in one night at one of the better restaurants in my town. noreservations: WOW....$250 jeeez... At the all you can eat places I've been to if we didn't get the AYCE, it def. would have been around that price range. From the special rolls and nigiri to hand rolls it would have added up. And the places are all made to order, so it is fresh and of fairly good quality. Perhaps I do not have as sophisticated a palate but I thought the nigiri just melts in your mouth. If you are around Santa Barbara area there has to be a decent all you can eat place nearby. There are places all around California from Davis, San Jose, LA and SD. So hope you find one But yes for me probably around...$30. poonats: i love sushi. we have this really nice place here but it's really super expensive. i havent been yet but i was planning on going one night. we were betting on spending 80 bucks all together, but that's between two of us. so 40 a piece (that's including the drinks ^-^) retaxis: thank god the most i have spent is $68, in China, all you can eat sushi. That was 68 yuan so you calculate that into American dollars and probably get like 12bucks? payal: sushi is a best light meal of the day u can eat any time my favourit is avacado and spinch one Red_Clover: Wow for the type of rolls you ordered, sounds like you got ripped off. I have spent close to 250...but it was on chef specialties, kobe, tempura katsu. And it was family owned by actual Japanese people. Most sushi restaurants do not have a Japanese chef...they are kind of like quickly trained to make the food. Dont get me wrong, they can make good rolls...but its different than someone who grew up on it and understands the food more. Or it could be the city or area you were in. I went to a restaurant in Toronto and it was the best sushi i ever had. Even the rice was perfect. I have never ate so much in my life. Legs N Cowboy: Kona Village Resort on the Big Island. You are required to purchase their meal plan. One day for breakfast/lunch/dinner ran about 350pp. Loved their sashimi and I made sure to eat enough to get my money's worth! Abby: Today I'm going to have sushi. It will proably cost me about $30 just for the sushi. But where I go its also a Japanese Steakhouse and I love hibachi. _helin_: East japanese restaurant, constant spring road.Kingston's favourite sushi restaurant.there sushi rolls are awesome. specially the spider roll.can't forget the taste. zankudo: hi i spend 6.99 for 12pcs of sushi real good ... in hawaii im here for a vacation with my son .. i love 2 learn how 2 make it ...its brilliant idea >> i have a restaurant in puerto rico . name hoja de yagrumo ..lares . love that sushi ...have a great day
