lummox: Time would tell he thought, as he trudged onward in his muddy boots.

Wonderbunny: After a while he arrived at the house he knew so well, but it looked subtly different.

lummox: The video doorbell was definitely new, as was the lurid sign declaring 'Abandon soap all who enter here'.

WineNSarcasm: Quietly, he crept to the side of the house and peered in and what he saw made him freeze on the spot !

Wonderbunny: A man was playing solitaire but with no ordinary deck of cards.

lummox: Each card played, hung in mid air, as if by magic.

Wonderbunny: The pictures on them were of trees.

WineNSarcasm: Trees that were unknown in this world...

lummox: Even at this distance the iridescence of the fruit thereon was dazzling.

Wonderbunny: The fruit and leaves would appear before his eyes on a seemingly dead twig.

lummox: Then sparkle, and fizz, before tumbling upwards, with no regard to the laws of physics.

WineNSarcasm: As stunned and enchanted as he was by it all, he wondered if he should dare venture to capture a piece of this fine looking fruit and eat it.

lummox: "wouldn't do that if i were you", said a husky voice, emanating from a pile of filthy rags beneath the window.

WineNSarcasm: Turning quickly around he asked "But, who are you ? And why should I not partake of this wondrous fruit before me ?"

Wonderbunny: "He won't like it." said the voice.

lummox: "Who won't, the man from Del Monte ?", he quipped.

Wonderbunny: "The head sorcerer" said the voice.

WineNSarcasm: "Would you take me to meet him ?" he asked excitedly.

joe438: "The sorceror? Nobody may see the sorceror! Not nobody, not nohow!", exclaimed one particularly grimy rag.

lummox: "I've got jelly babies, if that helps" he ventured.

WineNSarcasm: At this the filty, little rag paused and gave consideration "hmmmmm"

lummox: "Any blackcurrant ones ?", he asked, a little bit of dribble at the corner of his mouth.

WineNSarcasm: Stuttering and looking quickly in his bag he told him "y..yes, yes I do believe I do have that one."

lummox: "Sorry about the fluff" he said as he handed the furry sweet over.

WineNSarcasm: No sooner had the filthy rag tasted the morsel (by with whatever filthy rags taste morsels) and it changed in the twinkling of an eye to a mesmerizing fairy of exquisite colors with gossamer wings and turquoise eyes; all of which left him stunned and amazed.
