Any good free pc games out there? ElectricPotato: Hey people, I'm looking at getting into gaming and was wondering if anyone of you knew if there is a good game out there to play for free on my computer. Looking for one full of action and lots of variety. I have tried looking on the internet but everything I try to download never works. Inflicting Attrition: Here are a few to try. i haven't played any of em but they are free: Savage 2: http://www.savage2.com/en/main.php Megaman Deathmatch: http://cutstuff.net/blog/?p=2218 Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2: http://rockstargames.com/classics/ Aura: If you are just getting into gaming, you might want to check your pc. The newer games need a lot of memory and a good 3d acceleration card (nvidia) to play properly. So if they games you download are not playing your system might just be too weak. But before you run out to upgrade your computer, since you are new, there are lots of great old games you haven't played and probably will run on a slower pc. Instead of downloading and risking getting your system infected by all sorts of nasty things, next time you are in a mall, check the bargain bins for old and outdated games. For just a few dollars you can get some really fun games. One more advantage of playing old games, there will be a lot of good walkthroughs, tips and such on the internet to help you when you get stuck. Robot_Fox: Ever play Minecraft....Its currently a BIG deal right now. Heres one of my favorite videos, lol. Check it out. ElectricPotato: Great feedback. so when downloading games into your computer how do you get past bit zipper to open and install the files to play the game? Aura: When you finish downloading, there should be a file called 'NFO' (you should open this file in notepad) in this file should be instructions on how to install. I can tell you, you will almost certainly need other programs to help you install, such as a virtual DVD drive. It's a lot of figuring things out, if you don't know what you're doing you're better off just buying the game. Better for your pc and your sanity. ElectricPotato: yeah lol, think i'm just going to buy a game. because i'd have to buy bit zipper anyways to get the game downloaded into my computer. Unless there is a free version of bit zipper that works. But i agree with the virus thing too. I recently had to deal with a very annoying one I got from something.. DemetriOS: Dungeons and dragons online (DDO) or Lord of the Rings Online (lotro) have their own installers and the same one. Both are free to play. But are big files. I think DDO is 3GB (not sure) and Lotro is 7 GB. So they can take a while to download (many hours). lotro just became free to play on September 10th, 2010. Check the requirements for the games too to see if you can play them on your computer. DDO might not be able to be available in stores, but lotro is and after your pay subscription runs out for lotro you can still play it for free. Just a suggestion. svsurfer: Have you heard of Machinarium? Its a cool weird puzzle game. Theres a free demo if just wanna try it out. harlett: i am apologizing for my miss statement that amazon was giving away core games when it is a half price sale of core games ... gee-ish ... i am sorry .... lostnthenight: google onrpg their site has a list of free to play games, like over 200 games listed i think. ※※∴… Ä®: https://register.perfectworld.com/pwiad9 The company that makes perfect world, is free. They have a lot of MMO's to choose from (some are quite gorgeous)...it is free to play. lostnthenight: Perfect world is ok for f2p, but the game revolves around who has the most real cash.. Check out runes of magic. AussieNerd: All depends on what sort of games you are into Try Nonags website ...
