niceaussieguy78: I have it and nobody else in my family has it. Then again, not everyone in my family has spent their lives abusing drugs and alcohol as a way to cope. I feel like the world is out to get me but it's not just a feeling. For me it's reality. I think my life is being watched by several people who listen to every conversation I have. It's a horrible illness.

sinselady: I have a friend with this disease. He is a mechanical genius and would give you the shirt off his back! But he has convinced himself his wife is effin around with almost every guy he knows! This is so not true! He sees writing on his face on the walls on his tortilla he hears things, whispering and voices out side in the yard or the alley. He scares his wife, she cant act normal around old friends (if they are men) because it will make him suspicious and then he gets violent with her. She cant do laundry in the basement she cant take a shower without him being suspicious. The cops have been called several times, He's supposed to take medication but he doesn't, its so bad at times his wife is afraid he will go on a rampage and kill her and himself and anyone else who might be there!! She needs to get away from him and she is trying. I feel terrible for him too! I cant imagine what it must be like. He used to ask me if I saw the writing on his face but I was honest and said no so he doesn't ask me anymore. Some people actually say maybe they see writing just to humor and appease him for awhile. For me watching this is like being stuck on the tracks and seeing a train bear down you... Scared and helpless waiting for the inevitable...

Fog Swept Glade: Schitzophrenia is psychopathy. It can be applied by stimulus that can be seen or hidden. Memory can be taken with unconciousness & re confirmed with slow prolonged relaying or doing similar things in a similar environment in a less than alert state could surface such a subliminal memory or memories. Schitzophrenia could be an engrained coping mechanism or just secretional fragments being squirted irregularly.

happymorg: once watched a ted talk on schitzophrenia and realised that it is a mental situation affecting so many people in the world.... still hoping the best for those who are suffering for it and hope that they can get a breakthrough from it!

i once suffered from depression and thought it was bad enough, but there;s so many more other people out there who needs a friend or a family member for support!

TheCovenant: I went with a friend to the psychiatrist office and they had the staff and patients put on a theatrical production. the psychiatrists thought they were the police, the police thought they were the employment agency, and the employment agency thought they were trauma surgeons. ha ha ha . very funny.

I've become more n more isolated which makes things worse because I pretty much only got a crazy guy to talk to. I'll keep on riding it as best I can till I finally decide I'm sick of the ride and get off. Till then though time for more music

TheCovenant: why do you put people in the can?
It's my job, and i am well paid to do it.
Do you petition for better food, better beds, better tv and music?
no, that s not my job.

Actually there is nothing to worry about, using psychiatric institutions as prisons, while common in the Soviet Union for political prisoners, is frowned upon by some in western nations.

TheCovenant: If you think psychiatrists are smart, why do they teach pottery to basket cases? The kilns you use in pottery go up to 2000'. Why don't you just teach them welding and auto mechanics while your at it. Assholes. Languages might have been a better idea. Doing very well cara cicatriz.
