Anxiety (Page 9) toolsoftrust: The problem is that people misunderstand stress. They think that its unusual or an illness or something that should be absent. Stress is the natural cause of strength, when we respond right. Too often we respond to stress anxiously. Anxiety is a bad response to stress. A good analogy is a diving board. It's designed to handle stress. So are we. If we didn't like the way it bounced up and down, we could try to beat it up, but that wouldn't be very good. We'd probably hurt ourselves. I try to respond the right way when facing stress. Usually 100% of our time includes some kind of stress, internal or external. There's something very wrong when we try to avoid stress. We should try our best to befriend it, like a diving board. (Edited by toolsoftrust) haroldguillen: I wanna try and turn stress into a positive force to motivate me to accomplishment to help me find out what i'm capable of (Post deleted by khanabuzzed ) (Post deleted by heshoots67 ) Fog Swept Glade: We are basically subject to people who are unsure, & unstable. I would say avoid the garbage that‘s window shopping or trying to take assets full time in the love department. Also, try to have a hobby that you can enjoy. Don‘t let anybody take that from you. I‘m having a panic attack now, & I‘m just cruising through it in the forums. B6 and boron is nice medicine. There is no substitute for not losing a quality sort in selection of contacts. GothGye: I've had anxiety disorders all my life . But these day's Like pretty much everything in psychiatry I see that the word anxiety is just another word or condition or disorder or 'illness' that's been invented to describe natural parts of being human so psychiatry stays in business... chemical imbalance is bullshit and you can even youtube interviews with hundreds of actual registered psychiatrists and psychologists admitting that there actually isn't anyway of knowing if someone has something like depression due to low amounts or excessive amounts of chemicals in the brain. You can actually look up hundreds of psychiatrists and psychologists admitting that the whole chemical imbalance explanation is false. - hence some people have low levels dopamine and serotonin and are actually overly happy and then they've also got cases where people have high amounts of dopamine and serotonin and yet have 'major depression'...they just say that to justify selling medication instead of finding out the actual reason someone is feeling horrible or acting a certain way.. I think the best thing we can do when we feel horrible is to talk about it or listen to music or watch or play or read something that takes your mind off things for a bit and hopefully there are still some nice caring people around without brains full of drugs willing to listen or offer help lol.... Fog Swept Glade: Yeah, it‘s to pretend the undesirable behavior is innate & allow people to stone it better. AretoNyx: Had trouble all my life with it. That fight or flight response overwhelmed, but I try to cope. Some will never understand what they do not experience. I hope stigmas with stereotype is not the first response to how I may explain my anxiety. AretoNyx: I have been diagnosed with personality disorder vaguely. Though anxiety and depression have me in hold just a bit. I try to cope without meds or therapy ( I have no trust for therapy in bad experiences). I can not afford meds, and have no insurance. So I try my best. wayne elliott: AretoNyx - hang in there. Don't let the bastards get you down. I understand what you are saying. jmdelgadossr13: Maybe the new prescription can help you out more with your anxiety... Give it a few days... If you feel that they are not helping go back and ask to be put back on the other meds Cygnus X: I have seen the worst from people, in how they act, what they are capable of. It makes the actual act of having anxiety seem like a refuge, because coming back to the real world is far, far worse. chris12344: hey do you guys know of a recording of someone's heart on a heart monitor along with a recording of their breathing while they go from mild stress to full deep meditation? also do you guys think that it is possible to be completely without thought for several hours at a time haroldguillen: I often worry if I did everything right at work, working as a supervisor, there's so much more to worry about, I try to get as much done as I could, maybe that's all I can do. | Health Chat Room 1 Person Chatting Similar Conversations |
