Mouse/rats in the kitchen (Page 3)

Hyenablood
Hyenablood: the strange thing is, the neighbours ( on both sides of us ) have cats and every so often they wander over and hang out in our barn in back. I suspect they kill some mice and relax in our open barn. We have spooked some of them occationally when we went wandering around the area and came face to face with them.
As it is, the birds are in the rafters of the garage and no cat can get up there to 'play' with the birdies.

Aura: Eh, this just might be a case of 'lost in translation'.
Robin is both a name for humans, and for a kind of bird.
Tweety is both a cartoon character and the sound a bird makes.

Nicorrette: but its a game of words if u put it together this words and it mind get it like som etypical words for children to use them in their spelling ,so they form right the sounds,or those children who spell wrong some sounds ,..I don't know now how they are named in psihology that must say words with the same sounds so they actually say a right and correctlly the sound where he has problems of spelling.

Corwin: @ Nico - Okay... games of words... but there are subtleties of language that can be lost in translation, and people can read things into what you're saying and take offense.

Like remember how you started telling David repeatedly that his face was hateful and ugly, and then you started threatening to murder him? None of us really got the joke... and considering how you had just previously removed him from your friend list for no apparent reason... well... I hope you can see how many of us may have interpreted that in a way that may possibly have been intended to offend.

Maybe a different translation program might be a good idea?

Nicorrette: no listen man
u really got me offended now
if u say uer corvinism just because u have some honest man american in u
this doesn't mean ure clever at all
for instance who the Hell is David ,that missconsidered him so badlly that I even threatened him with murder?if it is that black and white drawing of a man with bearb that honestlly got me in mind of a....never mind u don't know maybe I can be accused of cruel words,as for intentions and rules to be apply as my character wants I had never complained as others, but do let me tell u Corvin
are u my lawyer?
are u my psihologist?
are u my Jesus?
I don't think so
I consider u should take bake the last phrase and use it on your mind just to see what a great lost and opunishment ,more than an offence u occured to me.

Corwin: David goes by the name of Azathoth these days. I won't bother to copy and paste your behavior here.... not my style... but it sounds like you know what I'm referring to.

So.... I guess I was wrong then... you weren't being lost in translation afterall... that last post seems to speak pretty clearly.

Oh, and I'm not American by the way.

Corwin: So..... let's get back on topic, shall we?

This was about pest-removal I believe... no?

And I believe we left off with Hyena and her problem with birds crapping where they were not wanted. (kind of ironic)

Hyenablood: well my whole family knows the solution, close the garage doors, but my mom goes out during the day, comes back whenever, and since she has a bad shoulder, cannot reach up and pull down the overhead door. So we leave it open and the birds think " hey an open cave ! great, now we can get out of the cold, out of the wind and relax "

Corwin: Maybe place a ladder up to the rafters... if there's a way to get up there, a cat will use it.
The first time they perch up there and find themselves face to face with a toothy carnivore, they may be leery of making it their regular hang-out.... even the scent of cat up there will spook them.

Illuminatist: LiptonCambell: We've recently become aware that we may have a rat/mouse problem in our kitchen.....we noticed what may have been droppings on the floor a few weeks ago, and now we're seeing the same thing on the shelves.....

Oh be honest..

Lipton had an accident and didn't make it to the bathroom on time..

My recommendation is a Lipton-trap. And if that doesn't work, poison the soup.
