What do you think of chiropractors ? AretoNyx: I think chiropractors are quacks in general. My kid has scoliosis and I plan to never use for her. Though my hubby has used for massage when his back went out a couple times. Some say they help even if just a pain relief placebo. For my kids and myself however I want to stay away from healing crystals to back cracking pseudoscience. AJ Cali: As a sports medicine provider, a large majority of Chiropractic medicine is pseudo. If musculoskeletal then they have a place. Scoliosis is not a immediate curable issue. I would concentrate on core stability, not strength. Two different things. Try going to a PT and not a fitness trainer. songandance: I go to a chiropractor every six to eight weeks for a "tune-up." I find it helps me a lot. I also receive massage whenever I can budget it. I am offended at the extreme negative reactions by many people. I think the answer is for allopathic/AMA medicine and alternative therapies to not only co-exist but to help each other. Just my two cents worth. | Health Chat Room Similar Conversations |
