Best rock guitarist

Doodsy: For all you classic rockers out there. How do we rate the following guitarists? Mine as follows:

1-Jimmy Page
2-Eric Clapton
3-Jimi Hendrix
4-Eddie Van Halen
5-Peter Green

Or should there be others in there?

Doodsy: Yep, Angus is right up there. Best band we've ever produced here.
They played at the school in my street in 1976!....Unfortunately I was less than a year old, so didn't get to go.

redrocker: I think Donald (Buck Dharma)Roeser from Blue Oyster Cult is quite good. But, yes Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen are impressive as well. The best? Well, I would hate to say!

Quirk74: Robin Trower - one of the first ones to have that odd sound with complex effects pedals. Great stuff if anyone is looking to expand their listening repertoire.

PTBO52: Dantheman: Marshall just died recently, was 64 I believe. Hope now that all the great ones are leaving us, their will be someone or some band to take their place in the history of Rock. Who do you think could?
