Anything Goes Songs (Page 5)
Mz D Meaner: Oh the Carpenters, they did have some really sappy stuff you couldn't help but love. She had a beautiful voice! "Every sha la la la, every woa oh oh oh...." So 70s!!
Mz D Meaner: Roadhouse Blues rocks!
This is my husband's favourite version of that song done by Canadian Rock/Blues legend, Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. As much as we love The Doors, this version kicks ass!
Corwin: Frank Marino ROCKS!!
Here's another Canadian great.... Pat Traverse.... although the traitorous bastard traded up his Canadian citizenship for American, and moved to Daytona Beach.
But we can forgive him, I suppose.
My own band "The Electric Lizard Blues Band" used to open up for him on the occasional Canadian venue back in those days. I miss those days.
Mz D Meaner: It said "uploader has not made this video available in your country" so I'll post it this way. Good song!!
Nathaniel Nirvana: there was some great 80s music
this one I missed be4 & only just heard of them the other day. A Chicargo band called DA!
Mz D Meaner: Here's another one of that similar early 80s sound. This band was basically a one hit wonder from Canada. Cool song though.
Mz D Meaner: @ Nathaniel - I've never heard of them before but that is good stuff. The 80s weren't just about the metal stuff and hair bands. It started out with the new wave stuff like that. Here's one of my favs of the early 80s.
Nathaniel Nirvana: yeah, I agree that kinda transitional period between the 70s indie stuff infulenced by punk to the later 80s often gets forgotten. I have a bunch of vinyl records from my grandparents which I play quite a bit
I like this band too
Nathaniel Nirvana: love that....I'd not heard Marilyn Mansons cover of Tainted Love be4....its great, kinda a little less camp sounding
