The Best Songs Come From The 80's....Yes or No? mssexygirl27: Music is one of my biggest passions. I wake up with music and I go to bed listening to music. I love it. I listen to a lot of different styles of music but I always seem to go back to the music from the 80's. I think a lot of great songs were written and produced during the 80's. Here is a list of some of my very favorite songs from that decade. I am missing many other great songs but to remember and list them would take forever. I started a forum for 80s hair bands that hard rock genre but there's so many pop ones that were good too. Wake Me Up Before You Go Go came on the radio last week and I still have to turn that one up. And whenever I hear Don't You Forget About Me I remember the Pretty In Pink and Sixteen Candles movies. Topic: Music mssexygirl27: I tried to list from different music styles...these songs always make me want to turn up my voiume and dance off to them! Where is that forum for 80's hair bands? I want to see! I love 80's hair bands. Each time I hear Don't You Forget About Me and If You Leave I always think of those movies too! I love The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. The 80's were really something. Mz Demeanor: I posted a link to the 80s hair band forum in my above post. Just click on the par Topic:Music I notice you've got Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out For a Hero" but don't have this one. This one was my favourite from her.
mssexygirl27: Oh yes I was going to list that one but it didn't let me...I actually made a Top 100 list...I posted the full list on my blog here on Wire. Mz Demeanor: Ahem.....I've just noticed there are no Bon Jovi songs on your list. An 80s list is not complete without Bon Jovi. I think their biggest hits would be "Livin' on A Prayer" and "Dead Or Alive" but one of my favourites is "I'll Be There For You" (Edited by Mz Demeanor) Mz Demeanor: ...and omg....there's no Journey on the list either!!! "Don't Stop Believing" and "Open Arms" ar probably their biggest 80s hits. A few other great 80s songs: Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes Don't You Want Me - Human League Tainted Love - Soft Cell Still of the Night - Whitesnake To Be With You - Mr. Big 18 and Life - Skid Row and Walking In LA - Missing Persons mssexygirl27: Lol...I made a Top 100 list but was only able to list 50. But I've got more coming Believe there were a lot of songs I wanted to add. It was hard making that list! mssexygirl27: I thought I had added Journey! Ooops! But you're right...Journey is included in the other half of my list. I definitely love Journey! Mz Demeanor: There were so many good songs in the 80s, its understandable its hard to reduce it to 50 or 100. Glad to hear you had Journey in the other part of your top 100. Journey is a fav of mine too. You've got some of the great love songs by Air Supply on the list but there's another band that did some awesome love songs: REO Speedwagon.
