Happy Music (Page 3) Mz Demeanor: @Nicotina: I saw the picture he posted about. Cor's had a love/hate kinda thing about Rik Emmett like forever. We both love Triumph (not as much as Rush, of course) but I think Cor's jealous of Rik's hair. Bah ha ha.  Corwin: Wha?? I have great hair.  I don't hate Rick Emmet, and I love the band Triumph. I just kind of resented the fact that his ticket to Canadian rock fame was having a mom who was an executive for a major record label. While so many other talented and hard-working bands (like my own) slugged it out the hard way for years, down in the pits playing smaller venues and smokey dives, often never to earn any more than a local following. Thanks to Emmet's mom, Triumph went straight from the garage to the record store shelves and stadium venues. After one of my shows, people would come up to me and say things like, "Wow! You're like Rick Emmet, but better!"... or "What's a guy like you doing playing a shit-hole like this??" Although these were great compliments in their own right, they left a bitter taste in my mouth... and made me want to punch Rick Emmet in his stupid puppy-dog face. Mz Demeanor: I knew Cor would go into his story about Rik Emmet's mom, yadda, yadda major record label, yadda, yadda right to the top, yadda, yadda other hard-working bands.
