A religious organization is being told by the government to insure employees with contraception, abortion and sterilization insurance coverage. Actually, this applies to all employers as well. So the company that makes widgets and owned by say Catholics, must insure their employees with these services that they hadn't done before since they are 'morally' challenged by this. Now Sixties, came up with a reasonable response to this. Anyone could then challenge anything if they think it is 'morally' against what they say they believe. This is a slippery slope. Any employer should provide or not provide any service or coverage as that they see fit. It's not the governments business. If the government wants to create an independent insurance company, then go for it....but not with tax payers dollars. But how about the poor and sick and helpless? Well, sucks to be poor, sick and helpless. However, there are programs in place for these folks as well as private religious organizations that help tremendously. I'm not heartless, however 60% of the budget already goes to Medicare and Medicaid and they are horribly underfunded to the tune of $150 TRILLION dollars. The annual budget is over budget by $1.3 TRILLION dollars. Adding another program like Obamacare is just going to hammer the last nail. . . . Jetters: Thanks for the clarification David. In the USA, if you don't have proper insurance coverage for your prescription costs, you have to get them by yourself, and the costs are staggering. If an insurance company includes your prescriptions as part of your plan, you get the benefits of that company buying those medications in massive quantities for all of the people they insure. If you buy "out of pocket," you don't get that. You get stuck with incredibly high cost because you don't have much choice. The choice you get is either pay that "bullshit" price, or go without. Let's see the actual testimony of the "slut" and "prostitute" that Rush worked over for three days straight. You can decide for yourself if she fits the picture Rush paints of her. The USA's healthcare system is a swamp of kickbacks and price gouging that has gone on because these companies basically buy the politicians and are allowed to help write the regulations.
