Gypsy_Soul: LOL!!!! Sometimes people need to lighten up. The use of superpowers is a way to allow members that have become a bit too heated to chill out without kicking them. In other words, its a way to allow people to continue to chat. The best mods moderate this way and its phenomenally effective. In my opinion Sebby is a master at resolving conflict peacefully without suspending anyone. He's not picking on people, he's giving them a chance to stay in the rooms and enjoy Wire. earlydaze: rod high 5 on the site and mods as a whole. i think mods should be given a bit more power in exile they are basically toothless tigers Tink: Any issues I have had have been worked out. I would like to ask a question though, one that has NEVER been answered yet. I have asked numerous times. Is it possible to save your games here? I believe this is an adult community site. Anyone who is willing to chat there shouldn't be offended. Patch: Mods are needed here. - Unfortunately even adults sometimes need 'policing' so for the good of all, I think it's a necesarry thing; -To keep the community safe, enforce the Admin wishes and rules, keep the members updated, and offering advices where necesarry. I reckon you could probably head all the rules under one clear sentence- ONE RULE- RESPECT FOR ALL. Amount of Moderators needed - is probably the minimum of 10 because of the sites size. I do believe there should still be a "Head Mod"- someone who can keep the moderators updated with direct admin feedback, someone also the moderators could turn to and trust to advise. Like a deputy when Admin can not be contacted. The Moderators of choice- Currently, I am clueless as to who is Mod and who is no longer, I am a little confused as to the differences in Rule enfocement- what I mean is it may vary between them, so being clear about the rules is a must, -Administrator interpretation should be made obvious, so that there are no differences within the Rule enforcements. Moderators should be warned of respect, tone and abide by the rules as much as the next member is expected to, and their friends should not be exempt either. A trial period should be given to each moderator, and any complaints- regarding them or the site should be kept off the main chat room, otherwise it just ruins the peace. Moderators and responsibility- This site is 18+ -however, having the maturity to moderate a commmunity of this size I think needs someone over 25 Years- This is simply because they may have more life experience and they may be able to make a far better informed decision. From ovservation, the younger Moderators are still influenced by their ego rather than allow the head to rule. The respnsibility of moderator should be made clear is not always an easy one. It is not just a title or a tool of power,- you must be able to perform the task- irreguardless of anything else, keep a calm level head and be able to diffuse a situation before it comes to a head. Power corrupts, they say, and some will allow it to go to their heads, but it is important to give each moderator some understanding too- it is sometimes difficult, they are volunteering their service, and they are human too. A little more understanding from both sides may go a long way. -Links to information for the community. -Currently we have tabs for home page, profile, mail, search facility, fun, forums and live chat. I would like to see a permanent link up there with regard to rules and site moderators for instance. -When a new member signs up, many of them are pretty clueless about what is acceptable and what is not. If it were clearly marked and available to all it would, I think mean that there should never be any excuses for not knowing them! Would you bet on it? SeaCabbage: My main problem with the mods are that they definitely show favoritism for their friends or are extra hard on people they don't like. Just last night I saw one user be kicked from philo for saying "fgts" and then another user said "f@*%@#~ faggots" a minute later, and she was not kicked. There were two mods in the room (in philo so not a big crowd). I've seen certain mods leave the room rather than kick their friends, yet pick on nOObs that don't even KNOW the rules. ♥♥staci♥♥: and rod i have been a member of wire for ovcer 2 years and respect ppl but its become apparent that certain mods play favoritews im to scared to say who this mod is fir retaliation against me Wireclub Admin: SeaCabbage: Is it possible that they didn't see it?
