Murdoch slams Scientology as 'evil and creepy' (Page 2) OCD_OCD: Duncan, Tom Cruise was not in Star Wars. The rest of what you said made absolutely no sense. duncan124: Oh duh, so you don,t know what else the newspaper could have tried to write? I meant Murdoch the UK mogul is n,t a somebody in California. When I was in California there was Murdoch vers Murdoch on the front page of newspapers so I guess its a direct instruction from the US owner of the mail. lavendar_star: Well first the Daily mail is owned by associates i.e. not one individual, there is no person called Murdoch who is a mogul other then the Newscorp one. Why have you just confused things rather then just comment on the original post gosh lol. also the story is on other news agencies etc not just the mail. (Edited by lavendar_star) duncan124: The mail was brought in part by a US pornography company which is why it still has 'beach views' in it. So you don,t know anything about what it might mean in the UK and think Tom Cruise is 47? lavendar_star: lol I know how you feel when this happens in your threads OCD Its owned by The Daily Mail is published by Associated Newspapers, a subsidiary of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc, of which the chairman is the 4th Viscount Rothermere. But anyway, bloody hell this not about some crazy conspiarcy of the Daily mail but of the story of duncan124: Do you think the mail reader would also want to see bikini clad bimbos? And the average scientologist church goer - how would they see the mail reader?l lavendar_star: Why are you obsessing about the Daily Mail the story is in other newspapers and other media outlets including yahoo news you missing the point completely and just on another plane of thought. OCD_OCD: *inserting theme music from the Twilight Zone and Conspiracy Theory and Jaws, just for giggles* duncan124: I am not obsessing about anything. Perhaps you should post more. Just saying, have you got a problem with it? lavendar_star: Scientologists Deny Spying On Katie Holmes The Church Of Scientology has denied sending anyone to follow Katie Holmes after she filed for divorce from Tom Cruise. A lawyer for the church also dismissed reports that Cruise - a prominent Scientologist - wanted their six-year-old daughter Suri to join the Sea Organisation. The Sea Organisation, or Sea Org, has been described by its detractors as a boot camp for the controversial religion. Reports that Holmes was being followed first appeared on celebrity news website TMZ.com . But lawyer Gary Soter insisted: "There is no truth whatsoever to the TMZ.com report (or any other report) that the Church Of Scientology has sent anyone to follow or surveil Katie Holmes."The allegation about a six-year-old joining the Sea Org is similarly untrue." TMZ reported that Holmes, who announced on Friday that she was filing for divorce, feared her estranged husband wanted Suri to join the Sea Org in the near future. But it cited the Scientology lawyer as saying nobody under the age of 16 can join the elite body. Minors must have the "consent of both parents and/or all legal guardians" to become members. TMZ also cited sources close to Holmes as saying she believes the Church Of Scientology views her as a threat to the organisation. The sources said the church had sent a team to spy on her, with mysterious men and vehicles tailing her in recent weeks. The lawyer was speaking after 33-year-old Holmes was spotted in New York without her wedding ring. She left a shoot for a television series in Times Square, her hair pulled back conservatively in a sleek pony tail and wearing a navy outfit. Throngs of television satellite trucks and paparazzi were camped outside the Manhattan building where she was staying. Cruise, who has just turned 50, married Holmes in an Italian castle in November 2006. He had previously declared his love for the former Dawson's Creek star live on Oprah - famously jumping up and down on a sofa in the studio. It was Holmes' first marriage and Cruise's third after Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. They all filed for divorce when they were 33. Holmes' announcement that she was filing for divorce reportedly took Cruise by surprise. A spokeswoman said he had been "deeply saddened" by the move to end their five-year marriage. Cruise is among the many celebrity members of the Church Of Scientology , including John Travolta, Juliette Lewis and Nancy Cartwright - who voices Bart Simpson. From Yahoo not the Daily Mail lol lavendar_star: Have you read the original post duncan do you think Scientology is creepy as Murdoch suggest but wait duncan you might like them because they believe in aliens too. duncan124: "the average scientologist church goer - how would they see the mail reader?" I said. Yes I have read it. lavendar_star: lol miss gege I like her as a actress she different but surprised she with them. interesting. lavendar_star: Gosh they do have quite a lot of high profile names there, I'm guessing they give a lot of money to the organisation and good at recruitment drives. miss gege: i never trust anyone or organization or thing with such power........even Oprah scares me Sarcastic Dots: Stanley Kubrick's daughter is a Scientologist; she cut off ties from her entire family under a policy called “disconnection”, where members of the church are told to cut ties with those they deem as a threat-- in this case, the Kubricks. lavendar_star: The threat im guessing is when your family are suspicious and worried about you being a part of a cult. A policy called "disconnection" sounds mega creepy I wonder what techniques they use for that, when someone is alone they are more susceptible to things and easier to control. | Off Topic Chat Room Similar Conversations |
