What kind of car do you have? CannabisCologne: I like cars just wondering what people are driving. I've got an 86 Camaro I've been fixing up. ayda_lya: i have a skoda fabia junior 1.4, 75 HP But im happy with my jobs that i can drive all kind of cars: saab, jaguar, vw... Malobear: I drive a Dodge Ram 2500,its little hard on the wallet these days, but its a tough ol truck. I am one of few that still has their car from their early twenties (Im 57)Its a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. The car came with a 426 Hemi (550 H.P.) and it will lift the front wheels off the ground from the start. It runs on racing fuel and thats around 7 dollars a gallon these days. So its rare the car sees the roads now. I wish someone knew how to add pics to these posts,I would share. TEDUBS: lol, Malobear, $7 per gallon is pretty much what us Canadians are paying for regular unleaded Babycool: A Manual. 5-Gears. lool. Where I come from, it costs more for a litre of petrol than it does a bottle of milk. Fords Rule!........that is all. Barnesy♪ღ♪: I have one with 4 wheels and an engine! lol HOLDEN VS HOLDENS Not FORDS! lol Found On Rubbish Dumps!! eternal_peace: And I will add...both of those brands are far, far better and dare I say more reliable than VW or their affiliated brands Barnesy♪ღ♪: pedal to the floor and *revs* hard.. ss now doing 150km/ph loves the thrill Hear that engine! Yes! IT's a HOLDEN V8 lol TEDUBS: I was referring to the "American" gallon, as in 3.7854 Liters, we don't use gallons here, but an "American" gallon of gas is pushing $6 per gallon in some places here in Canada, even though we have a higher dollar????? Malobear: I lived in Canada for 3 years in the early 70s.The pumps streetside were at that time pumping Imperial gallons TEDUBS. Dont know what they are pumping in volume today. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallon bettyhysteria: ....mine is an Y10 fiat... maybe not so cute, but it has an enginee and 4 wheels...for me is enougth TEDUBS: Malobear, I have lived in Canada 29 years, the price at the pump IS PER LITER, thus $1.499 per Liter, would be EQUIVALENT to $5.67 per American gallon (NEARLY $6/gallon), sorry I had too spell it out for you. oh and edit: Seeing as the Canadian dollar is worth more than US, it would cost you $5.92 American to buy an American gallon of gas in Canada right now, so DON'T be complaining about your gas prices. Malobear: TEDUBS,29 years ago doesnt go back far enough for you to say, considering I am talking 1973 and I haven't been up there since. Hell, you were just a thought in someones mind or excitement for one nite.In 1973 the metric system and SI units were introduced in Canada to replace the imperial system.Check with your elders TEDUBS if you want to doubt me. So TEDUBS,I am sorry a American had to introduce some Canadian history you didnt know about. TEDUBS: lmao old man, haha, I know lots about the imperial system doofus, I never said I didn't. I only said what the price of gasoline in Canada is, in American $$$ and American units. Just doesn't make sense. Canada has the worlds second largeest oil reserves and are the states #1 supplier of oil, and yet we are paying nearly double at the pump then you???? Yes, I know, it's mostly taxes, but that's not the point, the point is, YOU HAVEN'T EARNED THE RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR GAS PRICES!!! Malobear: Kid, you didnt know what a Imperial gallon was or when Canada stopped using it at the pump. I at least admit my ignorance of Canada using Liters because I haven't been there since then. You on the other hand never knew Canada when it did sell gas that way. Kinda obvious what you were doing in class when they were teaching that. TEDUBS: lol, it doesn't matter when the metric system came into effect or if you LIVED in CANADA in 1973, because either way you are WRONG! It took OVER a decade for the metric system to be fully in place in Canada, by the early 80's it was. Gasoline was converted from Gallons to Liters IN....wait for it........wait....................1981!!!!!! The year of my birfday. Just a history lesson for YOU old man!, FROM A CANADIAN. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metrication_in_Canada Malobear: Kid I lived in Toronto,so when I left it was still in Imperial Gallons and why I assumed it still might be. Until I read this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_units .So thxs for letting me know its Liters now. And FYI, I get a monthly music rights royalty check in Canadian dollars and have for almost 30 years. In the U.S. the Canadian dollar trades less than the U.S. dollar. I never get the full amount of the check and never have. So bring it down here, you will see. | Off Topic Chat Room Similar Conversations |
