Spongiforma squarepantsii Geoff: A newly discovered species of fungus has been named after Spongebob Squarepants. Discovered in the forest of Borneo, the fungus bears a striking resemblance to a sea sponge, with a 'slightly fruity smell'. Co-author of the scientific paper reporting the discovery, Professor Dennis E Desjardin (San Francisco State University) was quoted by the BBC of saying, "We go to underexplored forests around the world, and we spend months at a time collecting all the mushrooms..." Hmm, scientist from San Francisco spends ages hunting for mushrooms. Find a funny one and names it after a cartoon character. C'mon guys! Stop playing to bloody stereotypes. Nicorrette: guys I saw on wild a new H@~& bones little in Indonesia,as I recall on Cnn were discovered new species of animals and this time bones of H#y$ FLORENSIS how he was named ,but more more interesant is that it seemes eyewitness has spoted in the woods an Odong Pedek ,meaning a biped man monkey verry cool, verry big muslar and gracious.there the grand is acid ,bones can not resist in that wood jungle, but for a second it seems soem had this chance to spot this monkey man.
