Movies you've always meant to watch, but never got around to

Geoff
Geoff: Various film channels occasionally run a season of films that feature on various lists of, "Movies that you have always intended to watch, but never got around to watching."

These often feature some very good films and are often worth watching, even if you've seen them before.

They never feature the one film I've always meant to watch and never got around to. But that film is 'Zorba the Greek'.

What films have you always meant to watch, and yet never got around to seeing?

Mystic river

Those are the ones I found there ...

StuckInTheSixties: It struck me as something that would be interesting to Wireclub users. I saw a one-hour documentary on how the movie came to be.

~LoisLane~: Stuck O for your selection...

The King's Speech- It was good but I think you would think it was Meh
Mystic river- Excellent movie actually think you would like it
Juno- you would find the humour in it and think it was cute
Brokeback Mountain- Good movie but not for most lols
Pollock- no clue
Inception- Yes worth watching
Dogma- Could go either way

For me it was the movie *S*#^w^* Hubby was buggin me for yrs to watch this. Finally I did and it was really good.

Avoided *Borat* like the plague but I watched it not that long ago. It was OK but pretty stupid. Glad I sat through it tho.

The one I still havent seen yet is *Avatar* all the hype and crap just turned me off. I will wait to watch it on Bluray and see what all the hubbub is about.

StuckInTheSixties: Too bad you missed Avatar, lois. The ONLY way to really experience it is in a "Classic IMAX" theatre (not a "Multiplex IMAX," which is smaller, doesn't have the same audio system, etc. - not nearly as good), and, of course, in 3D. (The 3D in the "Classic IMAX" format is FAR superior to Multiplex IMAX.)

The hype was warranted. It was a fantastic story, a fantastic film, and a fantastic cinema experience.

Avatar - One of the best movies I've seen although I was not crazy about the big business is the devil political overtones which of course was what the movie was about. However, I look forward to the next one.

Anne aka Mags: I think its overtones were more to do with how some 'peoples' still take the arrogant stance that indigenous peoples are irrelevant to the needs of those who consider themselves more intelligent and civilised! Something that we never seem to learn...

...just saying...

I know. It was such a wonderful love story. It reminded me of the time during the expansion of Europeans into Native American lands and society.

~LoisLane~: Oh yes I will totally watch it Stuck O for sure. Bluray will be good and my tv is pretty big so hopefully that will be good. But nothing beats seeing it in the theater dude.

AND I forgot the movie *Catfish* Stuck O, if you get a chance one day watch it. O M G you would swear you were watching a movie about things that happen and HAVE happened in Wireland. It was a pretty good watch if you are a regular on a Chatsite. I really dont think people would "Get it" if they havent experienced a Chat world
