Comrade_: You forgot the element of Human Nature. Compare a man who uses proper grammar & researched points for the topic 'Nuclear' verses one who speaks about infidelity AND keep in mind the Forum you chose for 'New clear' (your audience).

You see how you'd have a different response?

Everyone is different based on the way you put your message across & your audience. People also tend to be more involved in things that they feel they can change, that is why your infidelity story got more views and responses versus you "New clear" story.

It seems Wom does not like nuclear power. That’s fine. It’s a point of view that many have. Yes, Chernobyl and the Japanese reactor situations were terrible accidents yet there are hundreds of reactors that have been operating safely for decades without any issues. 80% of France’s power comes from nuclear reactors as well as thousands of ships which use nuclear reactors for energy.

However, for this person to then say, “…seems you can turn your children and loved ones back yard into a nuclear waste dump but you can not hurt their feelings..” is unfairly mixing different situations.

To then say, “…if a man has a affair the moral wankers are up in arms with their self righteous crap and opinions....” is trying to compare apples and rocks. That’s like saying the person who slaughtered his family with a knife recently (re: Oregon Father Suspected of Killing Wife, 4 Kids, Burning Down House, Published July 18, 2011, Associated Press) should suggest that people are “wankers” for using a knife to cut their steak during dinner?

Should we also get rid of all the millions of automobiles because there are thousands of “wankers” that drink and drive and turn these automobiles into 2000 pound weapons which kill 10’s of thousands of people each year?

The same goes for infidelity. Just because many if not most people do not agree with those that “cheat” on their spouse, does not mean we are “wankers”.

Each situation should be discussed on its own merits and not thrown into the same “pot”. One really has nothing to do with the other.
