StuckInTheSixties: Reacting to the last comment, I went to “People,” and examined the search parameters.

The range of ages of people I was able to search was from 19 on up.

Question: If there are, indeed, minors traipsing around in Wireclub now, are their search parameters limited in the same way?

Nicotina2: If a minor is in a room, then it would be up to the minor to block unwanted contacts?
A minor might not show on a search, their age would show in a room though.

The minimum age to join Wire is 13, correct?
Hence this site is no longer considered to be an "Adult site" which it clearly is.
Parents attempting to be diligent are being misslead. That is a valid concern.

Im not doing a suck up piece but this is pretty good. Once you navigate your way around its all pretty easy to use and i for one like all the features.

I have to say im not a fan of the minors coming on in but time will tell how that effects this place.

TitoB: I think this version of Wire is laughable. Braden, you spent all those countless hours making this version, and for what? To present the public with a Mickey Mouse watered down version of what was once a good product.

BTW Braden, do you even make $$$$ from this site? Don't answer that. From the way that you do things and from the size of your company, it's obvious that you don't. Truly a waste of talent.

What good is all the computer knowledge in the world if you don't know how to at least make a living from it? What a waste of time. Gotta say Braden, you truly do win hands down the Dummy of the Year Award.

Spend 1000's of man hours..........unveil a much weaker version of what you used to have.......and you make no money at it........triple whammy dummy........lolololololol

Yea, I'd say.....dummy of the Year Award Braden......no competition.

Nicotina2: The "Terms & Privacy" policy is at the bottom of the page, click on it to read the full policy.

This is what is the "policy" re minors. c/p from Wire's policy.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be 13 years of age or older to visit or use this website in any manner. By visiting Wireclub.com or accepting these Terms of Use, you represent and warrant to Wireclub that you are 13 years of age or older, and that you have the right, authority and capacity to agree to and abide by these Terms of Use. You also represent and warrant to Wireclub that you will use this website in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations.

It is the parent's responsability to teach their kids to not lie and not misrepresent themselves. Minors that gain access to Wireclub by lying about their age are in blatant breach of our Terms of Use and we will not be held accountable for their actions.

It is true about the 13+ age restriction.

What I'd like to know is how on earth are parents to know that what seems like a site that is a 13+ site was once an "Adult Site" and marketed as such.

There has been no viable justification from any mod or admin.
I emplore you to restore the minimum age to 18.

Barnesy♪ღ♪: I do wonder how many law suites they might get, from having kiddys here! I know if my kid was here, and when out to meet a "so called other member calming to be 13", and they end up being a pedo, or worse! I'd take huge action against the company...

just saying...
but in saying that... I watch what my kids do on the net, I know ways to keep track of them... so I know that mine wont...

RandelCun: just because these clowns write in their terms of service their rules does not make it so.

A minor has no capacity to agree to anything legally. This in itself is laughable.

My guess is that there will be legal action taken, sooner or later.

But the problem with taking legal action is that these admins may only have little or no money. And their company may only have little or no assets. So, even if you win a claim against them, you get nothing. In fact, you still have to pay your attorney.

I would guess that an attorney somewhere may be working on a brief on behalf of a client (just a guess) that can get around the corporate loophole and hold the admins along with select mods personally liable. If this is true that this could be possible, then these clowns won't have their corporate shield to hide behind. Of course, this is all hypothetical conjecture on my part and I am not aware of any kind of such workings taking place at this moment.

When you create a safe haven for possible pedophiles to operate, you must be held responsible. When you discriminately apply your terms and services against targeted users, you also must be held responsible. Because they have written these clauses in their TOS does not make them law. They can and should be challenged. My guess is that when legal action is pursued, it will not be filed against a corporation with little or no assets. Believe me on this one.

There ya go! They took out the online feature completely...fucking assholes. Let's see now...Okcupid lets you search for online people...check. Interpals? Check. Nexopia? Check. A bazillion other dating sites and social networks? Check, check and check! Wireclub...the scourge of the internet. I hope no one here is retarded enough to question why this site died when it does so.
