Kim’s latest choice.

For some it might be Conundrum, hehehehehehehe I think though I wouldn’t mind I might be expected to lecture about it. Pity those who think Kim is resting in peace while some are rusting in peace.

Hyenablood: what I don't understand is why the news keeps saying that north korea has one of the most powerfullest or largest (deadliest ?) armies, it sounds like the world is afraid of this korean army. Yes they have everything for a nuclear bomb, but I thought that it was common knowledge that if you blast a nuclear bomb at my country (or any country) then then the bombed country plus any other country that wants to, could retaliate by flattening korea off the map, and all of it's brainwashed idiot people.
Basicly you attack us, we get to kill you and everyone you love, clear ?
so why is this korea army so scary to the rest of the world ?

StuckInTheSixties:

Look to the history books, and what happened the last time North Korea flexed it's muscles. It led to a bloody war, with China being drawn into it, and to a lesser, but still significant degree, the Soviet Union being drawn into it, as well.

Look to the map. Seoul, the capital of our ally South Korea, is very close to the border with North Korea. If war broke out, even if nuclear weapons weren't used, that capital would be destroyed, and many, many thousands of people would die, including many Americans. Almost certainly, Japan would be attacked, as well.

Sure, if they fired off a missiles at Seoul, Tokyo and ... oh ... say Los Angeles, the retailation would wipe them "off the map," as you say. But then, Seoul, Tokyo and Los Angeles would also be gone. And very likely, a much larger war involving China would result.

And as you both point out, yet seem not to acknowledge, they're "brainwashed idiots." Who knows what they're capable of?

All of that makes them scary to the rest of the world.

In its own new year address North Korea said its 23 million citizens, including its army of 1.2 million, were ready to defend, the new leader, Kim Jong-un, to the death. The North Korean national Tv,

hahaha All for one and wait a minute but not one for the all. This kind of idiocy should really be the concern of the world.

Heynablood, do you honestly think that South Korea would win the North on its own? Even in the 50s it had cried for the help of the world. One good advantage for the North is that they had nothing to loose compared to the South, but What I could not really understand is why the fuck china Support ‘em? Communism in NKorea is quite different from China, and though China got wow a huge number of people, it is as simple as abc that they cannot even stand for more than eight month a conventional war with USA, well Russia still got the name and am not kidding.

That place is a time bomb. The worst thing is its too close to the US, it’s a known fact that if it was not for the geographical approximatey no one will interfere between the two Koreans to such extent.

Edit: StuckIn many things are wrong here also

Actually, in a strange way, it's sort of the other way around ...

Although it's a mysterious, secretive place, the world certainly knows enough about North Korea, just based on their interaction with the rest of the world, to know that it's one messed up place. As you say, a big percentage of their population is continuously on the edge of starvation. It's an economic wreck that can't even feed itself, yet the population slavishly worships the hereditary dictators that rule it. It's baffling for many reasons, but the world knows that.

Here's a satellite image of nighttime over the Korean Peninsula. This image speaks volumes.

http://www.earthweek.com/2012/ew120106/ew120106x.html

But compared to what we know about North Korea, the people of North Korea know virtually nothing about the rest of the world. They're shut off from everyone. No outside news or information is allowed in. They know only what their government allows them to know, which is almost nothing.

It's like another planet. A totally weird, fucked up, dangerous other planet.

I wouldn't be surprise if there will be another war and if it happens then all the major world powers will get involved as a WW3.

North Korea has not only the military power but also the political will to wage total war against the United States.

(An English abstract of a paper opens with the following word)

1. North Korea Can Engage the US in Total War

North Korea is one of the few nations that can engage in a total war with the United States. The US war planners recognize this fact. For example, on March 7, 2000, Gen. Thomas A Schwartz, the US commander in Korea at the time, testified at a US congressional hearing that "North Korea is the country most likely to involve the United States in a large-scale war."

North Korea, which can and is willing to face up to the sole military superpower of the world, cannot be called a weak nation. Nevertheless, Western press and analysts distort the truth and depict North Korea as an "impoverished" nation, starving and on the brink of imminent collapse. An impoverished, starving nation cannot face down a military superpower. Today few nations have military assets strong enough to challenge the US military. Russia, though weakened by the collapse of the Soviet Union, has enough assets to face up to the US. China, somewhat weaker than Russia, too, has strong military that can challenge the US. However, both Russia and China lack the political will to face down the US.
