Aurora Colorado Massacre (Page 22) OCD_OCD: LMAO David. If "he/she/it" ever returns, I'm sure that is the conspiracy that will be handed around. Wireclub has been infiltrated by the Illuminati in an attempt at a cover-up. It couldn't possibly anything as simple as that crap made our eyes bleed. StuckInTheSixties: For a while, there was some sort of Wireclub protocol that was sometimes used that did two things: ~ Left the posts by the banned user in place, which is helpful to preserve the flow and evolution of a thread ~ Added an underscore_ and some other number, abbreviation, or something or other (I've forgotten what it was, exactly) to the username, which conveyed that the account had been deleted by Admin, not by the user. In this case, we're left to speculate what happened. I can't help but be curious. I Found The Exit: lol, you know she didn't delete by her own hand....she was pretty bent on getting her copy pasta out there. I Found The Exit: So off topic... But what I did find interesting about my is that all my friend comments that I posted to my friends walls....stayed on my friends walls. Comments that normally disappear when you "delete" your account. Makes me curious why those comments stayed (seeing I was banned) yet...when you delete your account, the friend comments don't stay. (Edited by I Found The Exit) StuckInTheSixties: Actually, I can envision her hitting a line, saying to herself: "Jeesh, I've had enough of this negative response ... exit, stage left ..." But there doesn't appear to be any petulant farewell speech as there often is when that happens. StuckInTheSixties: I think she read everything other than copy/pasted articles that rebutted what she was ranting. I think she read every single word that was directed at HER. Like with any other troll, it's all about the attention. I Found The Exit: Back on topic. A memorial service was also held yesterday morning for a young aspiring sports presenter Jessica Ghawi, who was also gunned down in the massacre. "What we will not do today is focus on how she left us," said Peter Burns, a friend from Colorado, reading a statement from Ms Ghawi's mother, Sandy. "Jess was a force to be reckoned with. She was a jolt of lightning. A whirlwind. A Labrador puppy running clumsily with innocent joy." Ms Ghawi, 24, had survived a June 2 shooting at a Toronto mall that left two dead and several wounded. She blogged about the experience, writing that it reminded her "how fragile life was". "I was reminded that we don't know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath," Ms Ghawi wrote. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/pregnant-victim-of-batman-massacre-suffers-1182970 StuckInTheSixties: He was in court yesterday for arraignment, appearing a little less crazy than the first time. He's looking at 12 counts of homicide with "shooting after deliberation and an attitude of universal malice," and 12 counts homicide "manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life." Each of those 24 charges carries a possible death sentence. Along with that, he's facing 116 attempted first degree murder charges. Coffrey: Some people are also stupid. You can debate on the whole subject in general, but a fetus isn't recognized as a person in the law. OCD_OCD: I am sure we will eventually get to see the majority of the documents. There will be a reading of the charges before the trial, but it is going to be a long list, any one of which would carry a life sentence. StuckInTheSixties: I think I found what I wanted: According to the Colorado Criminal Code: A person commits the class 1 felony of murder in the first degree if: a) after deliberation and with the intent to cause the death of another person, he or she causes the death of that person or of another person; 18-3-102 (1) (a) circumstances evidencing an attitude of universal malice manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life generally, he or she knowingly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to another person or persons, and thereby causes the death of another; 18-3-102 (1) (d) http://www.criminal-lawyer-colorado.com/colorado-criminal-law-code-of-offenses-by-topical-listing-of-the-categories-of-crimes/002-colorado-criminal-code-offenses-against-persons-homicides.html Murder / homicide charges are classified at various levels, and the classification depends on the alleged state of mind of the accused person, the manner in which the crime was committed, the circumstances surrounding the act, as well as many other complicated factors. A conviction for murder in the first degree, a Class 1 felony, has two possible sentences, death or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. http://www.lawinfoboulder.com/areas_criminal_litigation/murder.html (Edited by StuckInTheSixties) StuckInTheSixties: Expect some sort of insanity plea, which, from what I've heard, will fail. What else can he do, besides plead guilty? I suppose it's possible that families of victims could request a plea deal for life w/o parole in order to avoid the ordeal of a trial, but I personally doubt that'll happen.
